Squall charged forwards and leapt over its head, slicing of its eyes as he hopped over, Then he dug his sword deep into its back, its tentacles grabbed at squalls ankles, " Ryushi head back up the stairs! Dont let it breath on you!"

Ryushi ran as the gas filled the room. Squall would have been affected by that.
If he's asleep the malbro will eat him.
If he's blind the malbro will eat him.
If he's confused the malbro will eat him.

Squalls vision became blurry, What the hell?! everything going dark... I didnt die did I? Squall pulled the trigger a couple of times, blind me you bastard!

Ryushi managed to get through to Squall. The malbro was dead. Squall was blind. We were finally gonna meet Vincent. Where was Lutz?

Kidd had been supporting the two heroes by dashing in and out slicing the beast with his sword. "Hey guys. Sorry if I wasn't much help. Some things were on my mind. I would have gone back to my academy today. Good job guys." Kidd realizes Leon is blind. He uses a restore potion to help. "We should get on with what we're doing."

Squall squirmed a bit, That was disgusting! he slowly became aware of two blurs looking at him, " Hey, who stole my kill?" He said looking at them both, they stared blankly at him lighten up guys? Squall stood up and wiped the blood of his gunblade, This stuffs worse than its breath!
