Cid had mostly ignored everyone else for the moment, concentrating on merely flying the ship, but the raised voices and complains from behind him became too much of a curiosity for him to avoid them. Glancing over his shoulder, he spotted Reno and Nikky kissing, and the confused, bothered, or jealous glances of everybody else. Cid pulled a face.

"OY!!" he snapped, nearly losing his cigarette, "Tomato-head!! This airship is rated PG for everybody but the g*dd*mned driver!! There's a closet right behind you that you're welcome to use for the remaining time before we start the a*s-kicking!!" He rolled his eyes and turned back to the wheel. Of all the things to be worried about before a fight with the biggest nastiest thing that ever fell out of space...

Vincent continued the thread, not missing a beat. You've ceased to think of him as your master. That is very good... "Does the shield include a mental block?" He paced again. "Xima will be able to detect her 'brother' among you without one."

Reno realized he was being addressed. He turned with irritation. "Dude, did I ask for commentary, yo? Geez..." He kept an arm around his fiancee. "Not like we were doing anything THAT out there, man... G**, you're the last guy I woulda figured for a prude. Sheez."

Nikky laughed.

Kamen nodded numbly. "Of course... it would be quite a waste if it wasn't." He felt slightly uneasy by him but pushed passed it. "I am strong enough to hold them in the shield for at the least two hours. But I am not sure how much my shield alone will protect against all of their power...." He had hit another wall of self doubt.

"Prude?!" Cid repeated, glaring daggers at Reno, "I'm the last d*mned guy on the planet you'd think of as that!! But you're disrespectin' my ship, and none of us here wanna see you two slobberin' over each other's faces right before we're about to come help you defeat some kinda scr*wed up future menace so you don't get your pansy a*ses handed to ya!!!" He slammed his hands back on the wooden wheel, still scowling over his shoulder, "So get in the d*mn closet or cut it out!!"

"All right, all RIGHT, man, whatever! G**, yo!" Reno threw up his hands in frustration. "If you realized you were about to be possibly flash-fried by your former boss and his unholy demonic lover, you'd want to enjoy yourself while you still could, too! Closet, my a**!"

He stomped off to his unit, seething. "Sheez, how long has it been since you got any, dude?"

Nikky held her laugh as she watched reno. She sighed and frowned slightly. She didn't know if she should go after him or stay away and get ready....

Cid looked extraordinarily pissed off for the shortest of moments, but suddenly, he composed himself, merely raising an eyebrow at Reno.
"Well, I'm guessin' your fiancee didn't tell you about a few nights ago, but..." he mustered an innocent shrug, before turning quickly back to the wheel to hide his lopsided grin. He knew Reno from before, and it was all too easy to get him to fly off the handle about something. Of course, the same could be said for Cid himself, but to be fair, the man had walked right into that. Might as well lighten the atmosphere, 's'long as they were here...

At first, Reno didn't get it... Then he did, and the world disappeared in a red haze.

The girls looked at each other, cringing. "Uh-oh..."

"What the s**t?!" Reno all but screamed as he launched himself at Cid.

Ami jumped into action. "Oh, lord, now you done it..."

Rude merely groaned. "Here we go again..."

It took Ami and all three of her brothers to hold him back. "Lemme go, ya silver-headed freakshows!"

"Count to ten, Red, take a deep breath..." Ami requested uneasily as he bucked against them.

"I DON'T WANNA BREATHE! I WANNA KILL HIM! TELL YOUR CRAZY-A** BROTHERS TO GET THEIR HANDS OFFA ME, TWO-TONE!"

Yazoo was grinning openly. This was the most amusing thing he had seen since the time he beat Reno up back at the monument. "Don't make me hand your a** to you again," he warned. "You know I can, from painful experience."

Reno was beyond coherent thought at this point. He just kept struggling... the brothers could keep him back almost without trying, but it was more his persistence that was somewhat disturbing. It was like he wasn't even getting tired.

Ami looked to Cid. "Maybe you better duck and cover... Red's gonna blow any second now."

Cid was honestly having a difficult time not laughing, not because of the situation itself, but because of Reno's reaction. "Chr*st, he doesn't take that well at all, does he," he remarked nonchalantly, keeping one hand on the wheel and turning to face Reno.
"Nah, don't think that's necessary," he replied to Ami, "I'm not scared o' him." He glanced back at the crazy scene unfolding, and rolled his eyes, before a sudden idea hit him.

"Look, kid, take it easy," he said to Reno, "You got a better use for that." They were nearing the outskirts of Kalm - he could see the buildings in the distance.
"All those crazy-a*s soldiers you had to fight last time?" He jerked a thumb at the approaching town, "Imagine each one o' them's got my ugly face. Concentrate on that - got it? Don't waste your time beatin' me up, 'cause I'm not gonna stop teasin' you." He smirked a little bit, "D*mn, and everybody told me that I had the anger problem..."

Reno wound up going into the closet after all... Ami and her brothers had to lock him in there. "Let's just hope he cools off a little before he lands..." Kadaj said, shaking his head. "Now is not the time for egos to get in the way of reason." He gave Cid a dirty look as he returned to his unit.

Reno kept banging on the door and hollering, but Loz had his back braced against it and was grinning to himself about how colorfully former Turks could curse...

Ryushi headed other to Amnesty "As for why I'm here... Blood did it I guess." Ryushi obviously didn't know exactly what had happened. "So, whats going on now... I mean, who are all these guys. And where are Squall, Lutz, and Kidd?"
Unknown seemed happy with the arrangements. Heading over to Cloud, he handed him a pink ribbon. "The flower girl said to give this to you. She wanted you to know she was alright."
Asuka stood by Cid looking at all of the buttons that controlled the Airship. She was trying to keep as much distance between herself and Akira as possible. She wouldn't want him to be angry with her. Noticing a large red button Asuka asked Cid, "What's that one do?"
Akira left the thingpit and headed up to the deck. Sitting on the top of the ship, he attempted to grow his wings again. Thsy didn't come. Maybe he was finally back to normal. Looking over the edge he tried to find out where they were.
Blood sat quietly waiting for them to land. He didn't even know where they were headed for.

Nikky giggled but then sat down and stretched slightly. She was definitely looking forward to kicking serious a$$ soon. She grinned.

Kamen attached the long sword to his hip as he then paced back and forth anxiously.

Amnesty facepalmed. "Oh, geez... LONG bloody story, Ryushi... Look, Squall's still here... he's over there, dude. As for Lutz, and Kidd..." Ami tried to avoid getting choked up. "Lutz... died. He gave himself up to save us from Aztar..." She scoffed. "...the so-called Holy One. And as for Kidd... we lost track of him, a long ways back. I don't know if he's still alive or not." Ami looked around at the small crowd. "Looks like we got some epic shizznite on our hands, dude." She shook her head. "Evil villains from the future trying to lay the smackdown on us about sums it up... plus, they got some serious muscle on their side... they resurrected Jenova--" Ami stopped herself. "Hey, how did you recognize me, after my appearance changed? You died right after we met..."

Reno kept stewing in the closet. OK, so he knew Cid was just punching his buttons. But nobody said crass s**t like that about his girl without having a chunk taken out of his hide.

Nikky looked over and grinned before tossing Kamen a dagger and lifting hers. She raised a brow as he blade was lifted to hip level. Kamen grinned and flipped the dagger to the other hand before charging swiftly. She blocked him and spun him around. The two blades sparking slightly. She kicked him back and waited. Kamen looked back and glared before calming and nodding slightly. He found his faults in that move and went to correct it.

They sparred a bit to warm up and pass the time. Nikky was schooling him to no return before she lost her balance. Kamen took the advantage to attack head on. She quickly lost her dagger but still used her fists to hold his arms and twist them behind his back. "Too slow kid." She grinned. Kamen grit his teeth and squirmed. She laughed and let him go but then was promptly punched in the jaw, sending her back stumbling. Kamen was seething, he didn't care how hard he hit her, which was very hard. Any harder he would have broke her jaw.

Nikky held her jaw, stabling herself before grinning. "Good hit. Good hit. Just don't let Reno see you do that again..." She laughed as Kamen rolled his eyes. He had got her before she could react and could have done more damage but knew now was not the time....

Vincent approached Kamen from behind. "You're going about it all wrong. We have seven minutes left before we land... but those seven minutes might save your life if you pay attention."

He approached Amnesty. "May I?"

She realized he was looking at her Puppeteer blade. She shrugged and handed it over.

He approached Kamen. "Square off." He raised the blade to face-off position.
