She leaned back and looked at him with a smile. "So... feel better?" She just had to ask... A can of worms type question, but she'd had to roll with it. She kept a hand on his shoulder... a hand that kept tingling annoyingly...
She waited, knowing they had to get on with the search for Xima sometime soon. Faster we off her skinny white a**, the sooner we can bump off the guy who's bugging Kamen.

he blinked at her, taken slightly aback. he pondered the question before nodding slowly. ''yes.... i guess i am feeling better....'' he looked back at her. ''why?'' he knew she had a reason for the out there question.

She shrugged. "Couple reasons. First off, I wanted to know I was actually helping you in here. Second, I have some other questions for you, which I don't want to spring on you if you still feel like dirt." She grinned. "But since your mood seems to be improved, I'll go ahead and ask you. I have got to figure out where Xima went, and all I can get from her psychic vibes is... well, a flash of this tree. That's it." She felt extremely nonplussed. "Thing is, we got two heroes of the planet, stading around in the thingpit, waiting to trash her a**, and we got no idea where she is. I need your help to figure out where to look for her." She sat and waited patiently, her hands folded in her lap. "If you don't feel ready for that sort of thing right now, that's OK... I'll figure something else out."

he nodded and thought it over. ''well.... i can help. but.... what do you want me to do? just try to locat her...??'' he was so used to being given orders that his creativity was almost shot.

Amnesty shrugged. "That's about the size of it, yeah. I'm all out of other ideas." Ami was feeling pretty shot herself... it had been days and days of nothing but giving orders, and her well of brilliant ideas had just about run dry. "Anything else you can think of, do it. If you can find out what her plans are, go ahead, unless you think it'll drain you too much."

kamen blinked and thought of the many ways he had been taught to do things.... he tried to remember the easiest that he was taught. ''.... i need a bowl of clear water and if possible something that once belonged to or is a part of ximas.'' he looked back at her.

Amnesty nodded. She ran to get a bowl of clear water from the tap and started looking around for anything that might have been Xima's... she had already cleaned up after the battle, so there were no feathers or cloth scraps lying around.
She fingered her necklace...
She remembered how she'd gotten the chain. When Tseng kidnapped her the first time, as a little girl, he'd brought her back to the Shinra headquarters to have the scientists and the board heads have a look at her. Rufus, only fifteen at the time, had happened upon her and Tseng waiting for the elder Shinra, busy at a business meeting... he'd said runaway pets needed to be collared... he took the chain out of his pocket and tried to force her to wear it. She fought back viciously, getting hold of Tseng's EMR... Tseng managed to subdue her and pinioned her arms, letting his boss's son put the chain on her neck, just to humor him... her brothers had come then and rescued her. But she'd kept the chain hanging on her bedpost as a constant reminder of how things could have ended, and how important it was to always stay alert... When she ran away, she put her brother's keys on the chain as a bitter reminiscence of her family's lot...
Now Xima works with Rufus. This once belonged to him... this ought to work just as well as anything that once was hers.
She brought it and the bowl back to Kamen. "I found nothing of Xima's, but this used to belong to Rufus Shinra. Where we find him, we'll find her." She set the bowl down in front of him and handed the necklace over, watching and waiting intently.

he watched her come and go. he nodded and moved the bowl in front of him. he watched it before taking the necklace slowly. he weighed it slightly before setting it beside him. he touched the water and watched the ripples before closing his eyes. he used his energy to search. images rippled in the now still water....

Ami watched as intensely as a cat staring into a koi pond. The image of herself struggling to get away from the necklace... that was exactly the way she remembered, only from a different perspective... his perspective, she realized with shock.

he didn't stirr but felt her shock. he continued searching and frowned slightly as it was more difficult then he expected.... he changed his search to located rufus shinra. his hopes of finding xima herself were too draining....
(okay, this is where you fill in where they are. ami is seeing this, not kamen.)

Amnesty gazed into the water, her eyes almost glazing. She watched as memories flashed past her, most of them too quick to make out... a few stood apart, such as the confrontations with AVALANCHE, the explosion of the headquarters, the conversations with her brothers...
She tried to make herself focus. Now... where is he NOW.
She saw the tree... the one she'd seen through Xima's eyes... it was in the middle of a garden, but where was the garden?
He was looking up at Xima, lying in the tree's branches... She spotted a starry sky beyond the tree's leaves... Those constellations. I recognize them... If this ship has a star map, I can use that to pinpoint her location...
She looked away as she saw her other half coming out of the tree, openly trying to seduce him... I'm gonna be sick. "I think I may have a clue, Kamen."
The water stopped rippling and faded back to transparency as she explained.

She went back to the c0ckpit. "Kamen and I have a lead." She pulled up the digital map readouts, switching to star map mode. She began scanning it systematically, searching for the constellation she'd seen...

kamen heard her and pulled back. he opened his eyes and blinked at her before nodding. he listened and slowly tried to take the picture from what he had seen. he nodded again and then followed her back to the c0ckpit. he watched everyone silently and warily.... he wasn't very good with new people.....

She looked across at Cloud. "How long were we in there, anyway?" It could have been hours or days, for all she knew... the spell had suspended her entire perception of time.
She found a match for her constellation. "Nibelheim," she muttered. "I might have guessed it." Rufus Shinra's hometown.
That's another thing I've been wondering... "How'd you get out of there without Shinra's people seeing you?" Ami asked, addressing Vincent. "When they started setting up shop again, I mean." At least, I assume they have set up shop there... else, what the h**l are Rufus and Xima doing there? I hate to think EXACTLY what, considering my visions last night... She shuddered, glaring into the digital display... This is bad.
She turned to Kamen. "The boys told me Axel would be keeping an eye on Xima... I want to know exactly what it is she's up to. See if you can contact him."

kamen gave her a funny look before blinked. ''you want me to--'' he stopped submissively and nodded. his interactions with his master had caused him to be unable to argue. he took a deep breathe and nodded again. ''okay.... I'll see if i can.'' he flashed a warm smile before walking out of the c0ckpit to lean on an empty wall he needed more space, he felt claustrophobic in that room. there were too many people, ones he didn't know.
he forced himself to focus and worked on contacted Axel. it was slightly harder seeing as he never really met him and could barely recall what he looked like. he searched further though. hello, Axel? this is kamen, a friend of Ami's. we need you to brief us on ximas location and recent activities.... he waited.

Axel replied almost immediately, as he was actually there in the same room with him. "Hi there, Kamen... this is Axel. I've been filling in for Ami's brothers recently... they're on a spy mission right now. Which brings me to what you asked about... Xima has been doing all kinds of wild stuff, not least of which has been, to put it bluntly, getting herself all prenatal and stuff with Rufus Shinra. But that's by the way." He tried to collect his thoughts... what he'd seen the night before was something that had seriously rattled him. "Otherwise... she's out to train a new generation of Sephiroth clones. There's ten so far... there'll be more if she has any say about it. But three of them are working for us... let's just say the Council decided the boys could use a bit of a fleshy vacation." He smirked. Would that I were I so lucky. "She's got other plans in mind, too... she wants to get someone in touch with the Lifestream to raise her Mommy. And we can all guess who that would be." He shook his head. "My eminently gifted double. She figures, if she can get him, Jenova's as good as alive again. But there's more... she knows we're coming for her. Which means she's gonna get desperate... and do some very bad things to ensure she causes us as much pain as possible."
