Kidd walked out as he put on his necklace. He held out his hands, one turned black the other white. Then his keyblades appeared in his hands. "Blue peter." Kidd jumped in the back and awaited their departure.

Reno nodded appreciatively. "Neat trick, yo."
Rude checked the display again. "It would seem the chopper is headed towards Junon."
Reno blinked in disbelief. "Junon? We just came from there, man... we shoulda just stuck arond and waited for the dudes to come to us, yo."
"Unfortunately, we didn't, so let's get going."
Reno allowed Nikky a bit of time to climb into the backseat, and then turned the ignition. "Time to take Richie Rich out to lunch."

Meantime, back at the ranch...
Gdosomirj had been gazing at the television, not even seeing what passed before her eyes. So much was in her mind... most particularly, the state of her soul and whether she could ever win it back again. It seemed that everyone around her had found some way to unlock themselves from their tormented fate, while her destiny was now locked in stone...
Gdosimirj rose from the couch, glancing at Kamryn oddly. "I'm going to go check on Kamen. I hope he's doing well."

She drifted into the room silently, peering intensely at the sleeping form. She could sense his pain...
She stopped by he bedside, leaning over him, eyes blazing. A strange impulse took her, and she touched his forehead softly. It was feverish and clammy. She leaned down closer to him, transfixed, sensing for his life force...

kamen let out a light groan as he reacted to her touch. he stirred slightly but otherwise didn't move. his energy was beyond weak and his whole body ached.

Gdosimirj jumped slightly- his motion broke her transfixation. She sighed, then whispered to him. "My name is Gdosimirj Sunset. I'll be watching over you. Do you need anything?" She suddenly felt personally responsible for the wellbeing of the young sorceror.

he twitched slightly before opeing his large grey eyes and stared at her. he didn't blink for a long time before nodding slightly. ''i... my name i guess is kamen. i... water would be nice....'' he swallowed and smiled weakly.

Gdosimirj smiled, touching his shoulder warmly before turning to go and get a glass of water.

She returned to the room and set the glass down on the table next to him. She stood for a second, feeling vaguely unsure of herself. A moment passed...

he watched her go and then come back. he slowly tried to push himself into a sitting position. he winced and whimpered at the pain before slumping slightly and sitting. he looked at the water, then at her. he smiled weakly still. ''thank you...'' he said quietly.

She paused, intensity returned to her eyes. They flashed like lightning as she addressed him.
"I envy you."
She paused again, wondering how to explain that blurt. She then demonstrated. She grasped one of her chains, which started to crackle with ferocious energy. She braced herself, then tried to yank it off. A zap of green lighting coursed between the chain and her neck, and it flew back to its place magnetically. She gasped with the effort, then returned to his bedside kneeling next to him.
Her voice was a whisper. "You're free. That's something that can't be bought. I don't know how to break free... I don't even know if I deserve it, as foolish as I have been. Do you understand?"

Her intensity vanished and her business-like quality returned. "If it is meant to be, an escape will be provided. I suppose, until then, it's my job to make the best of this possible." She smiled softly. "At least my master isn't roaming free, ready to control me at her will."

kamen smiled slightly and nodded. ''yes... that is a good thing i suppose. he coughed slightly and winced, holding his ribs. he swallowed and took a sip of his water. he set it down lightly and sighed.

kamen frowned slightly and reached out weakly for her. ''wait... don't go.'' he smiled slightly. ''it will take me a bit to fall back asleep... until then you could keep me company?'' he hated being alone.

She turned back to him. "Well, I never was much one for bedtime stories..." she winked. "But there really isn't anything worth watching on that abominable television." She knelt by his bedside.
