"No way does my bike go anywhere without me!" Ami refused to back down.

Rude rolled his eyes unobtrusively behind his shades. "Just as well. I didn't look forward to having Reno hotwire it again, anyway. But we'd better hurry, before the entire area is swarming with law enforcement officers."

Ami's jaw dropped. "Waitasec... Reno is the one who... and you actually LET him?"

The hatch finally opened, and Ami curbed her shock. "Lutz, sorry, but the touching reunion is going to have to wait," she insisted. "We have to go get the Sacrifice back. I'll explain everything later!" She took back her necklace. "Thank you for holding on to this." She gave him a quick hug and turned back to Rude. "Let's get moving, then. Everybody else, stay here with the ship and keep an eye on my family!"

Ami gave Squall a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be right back... don't worry. You just get this bird ready to leave the ground." She popped open the back compartment of her bike. "I better have some kind of disguise on, just in case."

Rude felt the time growing shorter and wanted to object, but he had to concede the disguise idea was not a bad one. Ami yanked a black cloak out of the cycle and draped it over herself, pulling the hood over her head. "OK, Rude, let's roll."

He got into her sidecar, bringing one of the sniper rifles.

Reno broke off his kiss for just a moment to hand over Ami's short swords. "You might be needing these."

Ami took them and looked him dead in the eye. "You and me... we talk later."

Lana snickered. "You are SO dead... nobody messes with her bike."

Reno turned back to Nikky. "Now, where were we?"

Ami strapped on her swords and peeled out of there...

nikky laughed. ''if its not too big of a deal i was thinking somewhere more... private?'' she raised a brow and looked around.

Reno raised an eyebrow in return. "Hmm... no, I don't have a problem with that at all..." He tilted his face close to hers, so their foreheds were nearly touching. "Where did you have in mind?"

she smiled and held his gaze. ''idonno... anywhere really....'' she grinned slightly and stroked his cheek. ''i just feel strange with people watching us...''

He noticed the ship's hatch was open. He placed his hand over hers. "How's one of the cabins sound?"

she grinned and nodded slightly. ''sounds good...'' she looked around, taking his hand.

He smiled back and led her inside. "Yo, Lutz, long time no see, dude." He passed by him on the way in. "Not looking bad... dig the new threads, yo."

He found the cabin where he'd taken her earlier to recover and closed the door behind them. "I think they were starting to get tired of us, anyway."

He pulled her to him and kissed her passionately.

she smiled at lutz as they passed by. she laughed slightly and nodded before gasping slightly at the kiss. she smiled and kissed him back with as much passion.

Ami's mother sighed. Her husband seemed bent on making that poor Squall boy feel uncomfortable...

"So this is your ship, is it?" His words were friendly enough, but he was using that blighting tone he used to use on petty thieves in Midgar, when he was a magistrate there at the time Ami and her brothers were little children. "Not entirely shabby, young man... tell me, where does Ami usually go when the ship is in flight?" Ami is obviously head over heels for this fellow... and considering that up until an hour ago, I had no idea where she was for months, I want to learn everything I can about what she's been up to... particularly this boy and what they have been doing together.

Ami's mom tried desperately to intervene. "Did I ever tell you about the time she tricked the school into thinking she was one of her brothers?"

Reno put his arms round Nikky, running them up and down her back, pouring as much enthusiasm into their kiss as he could. His eyes began to close as a strange warmth began to fill him...

nikky smiled inwardly and kissed him deeper. she held his waist as she slowly backed him into the door.

Ami's dad attempted to break back into the conversation, but Ami's mom kept talking, saying anything she could think of to cut him off. Lord knows my father embarassed me when I was her age and I had my first boyfriend... I really don't think Stephen is being fair. This young man nearly got himself killed trying to help us.

"You see, back when she was about ten, she and Yazoo were about the same height..."

Reno felt his back hit the door, Nikky pressing against him, and it became harder to breathe... a small moan escaped him...

He moved his hands to either side of her neck, kissing her mouth over and over... Oh, G**, don't have someone stop us now...

she backed off slightly, giving him some room. she hooked her fingers in the beltloops of his pants as she kissed him back everytime. she closed her eyes for a moment. this can't be happening...

This is so unreal, he thought. He paused for breath and whispered her name before meeting their lips again, running his hands into her hair.

nikky blushed slightly as he said her name and whispered his back. she kissed him again and pulled him against her lightly.

He kissed her back, putting his arms around her neck. He broke off for a moment and leaned her head against his neck. "I love you..." He kissed the top of her head, memorizing how she felt in his arms...
