Nikky kissed him back before thinking. "Most priests don't take well to bribes.... so.... we could hold one at gun point and tell him to?" She grinned, laughing a bit at the thought. "It would be really funny.... and then we could pay him and watch his face when we let him go." She giggled. "But it would be really risky..."

Lekki yawned and after a few minutes of being left alone, fell into a reluctent sleep. He stirred and mumbled slightly as he slept through the sound of the TV.
Kamen looked around before locating the supplies he needed. He gathered them together before paying for them. He smiled and said a quick thanks before running off back to their room. He was nervous to leave Lekki, not that he thought his brothers would hurt the boy, just that the boy was a nervous wreck and could freak out majorly.

"I've got enough points against me with the Big Guy, so I think I'll pass on that idea," Reno replied. He snuggled against her... it was getting a bit chillier outside. "Maybe if... hmm. I dunno... what with all the weird and freaky mystics in our group, there has to be at least ONE credentialed to perform a marriage ceremony."

Kadaj nudged the boy carefully. "Hey, wake up." He wasn't comfortable with the idea of the boy slipping off after suffering such injuries... he didn't want to risk that the boy might not wake.
At least he only had Lekki to worry about for now... Loz was totally absorbed in his cartoon, staring at the TV vacantly.

Nikky nodded and laughed. "Hopefully. We should think more about this when they're all back... and inside." She hinted. "Its getting cold, babe. You think its safe to get up??"

Lekki stirred and then wacked his hand away sleepily. "I'm up, I'm up...." He mumbled softly. "Jus' don' hit me again...." He was still half asleep as he slowly opened his eyes and looked at Kadaj. He frowned before wincing a little bit. "What do you want..??"
Kamen stopped at the door and knocked before going in. He looked around, brow raised. "I see we all started the party without me..." He grinned a bit before handing Kadaj the supplies he bought. "Here ya go."

Kadaj took them. "A party. Indeed. Loz, shut off that noise."
Loz was sucked into the cartoon entirely.
"Loz?"
Nothing.
Kadaj sighed and hit the OFF on the remote.
Loz looked like he'd just come out of a subway-- totally disoriented. "Wha..."
"Never mind. Just stay over there-- I can't be distracted." He bent over the boy. "Kid, you'll have to brace yourself." He pulled the blood-soaked towel away, dropping it into the ice bucket. He took off his gloves and started cleaning the wound out. "Because this is gonna hurt like crazy... but whatever you do, no matter how bad it hurts, DON'T FALL ASLEEP." Kadaj was reminded every time he saw his hands that this was not the body he had been born to... the hands he used to have were toughened by years of battle and training. These ones... ugh, in comparison, they looked like girlie hands. He threaded the needle and struck a match to sterilize it. It's been a while... had to do this for Yazoo after our second fight with Cloud. Hmm... wonder where they are now... "Kamen, you think you can hold him? I'd ask Loz, but he, well... can get kinda carried away sometimes."

Reno lifted his head and peered over the edge of the roof. "A couple more minutes. They're clearing out, Nikky." He dropped his head again. "Besides, nothing wrong with me keeping you warm, is there?" He snuggled against her.

Lekki went to move away, but Kamen stopped him. "It''l be alright... we don't want it to get infected, Anai. Just sit still, Kadaj is just tryin to help." He soothed as he held the now swuirming boy down.
"I don't need help, Kamen." He whined, cling to him and trying to move.
Kamen sighed. "Fine, if you're going to keep squirming..." He softened his grip and used his power to hold the boy in place. It didn't hurt him but he was unable to fully move at all. He only made whimpers as he watched Kadaj fearfully. Kamen looked to Kadaj. "Whenever you're ready."

Nikky snuggled and laughed softly. "Nothing... its just irritating how slow they are going." She kissed him lightly. "Besides... a bed is more comfortable to snuggle in, maybe even a couch." She laughed a bit more. "We should watch a movie when we get back to our room..."

Reno nodded happy assent. "A movie... some more pizza... some more snuggling... and whatever just follows after that." He held her and nuzzled her before checking again... The cops, finding the place vacant, had finally taken off. "They're gone."

After the match burned out, Kadaj inspected the needle... ready as it would ever be. He took a deep breath. "Here goes."
He started sewing up the torn flesh, drops of blood coming out of the holes the needle made. The smell of human blood made him nauseous, but he managed to suppress his disgust and continue his work at a steady pace. This wound doesn't look like an "accident". I'll have to ask him more later... Loz, meanwhile, was fairly bored... he felt like turning the TV back on but knew painful death would result if he contradicted his brother.
He was halfway done... "How are you doing?"

Nikky smiled and shifted in his nuzzling, giggling a bit. She stopped and looked over curiously. "Sweet. Lets get going." She grinned before kissing him and standing slowly. "To the move watching-snuggling ensuing-pizza eating room." She said ceerfully.

As soon as Kadaj started Lekki tensed and bit his lip, eyes closed. He let out whines and whispered curses as he was unable to move enough to stop him or mess him up. Kamen bit his lip a bit as he kept a soothing hand on his shoulder.
Lekki glared at Kadaj as he spoke. "How does it look like I'm doing?" He hissed before whining. "Stop hesitating and get it done!" He swallowed and bit back the pain. He could take this... he repeated random things over and over in his head to try and distract himself.

Kadaj sighed and rolled his eyes. "All right, fine." He got back to work, trying to make the stitches come out evenly. So they'll be easier to remove later. He had to hand it to the kid, though... he was taking this awfully well, for someone of his apparent age. Reminded him of how he'd been when he lived on the street... how long ago had that been, anyway? He finished up and tied off the end, cutting off the loose thread. He wiped away the blood and put a bandage over the wound. He threw the thread away and pocketed the needle, sighing. "We really should have gotten you some booze."
"Shoulda gotten ME some booze," Loz replied dully. "Can I turn on the TV now?"
"If you must," Kadaj sighed.
Loz flipped the switch and was once again happily in animation land.
"Anyway, I meant for the pain," Kadaj continued. "The front desk probably has pain pills or something, if you think you need them."

Reno stood and stretched out to remove the kinks in his joints... and flinched. He'd taken some good hits in there... he gave it a bit of thought and started healing himself up again. "Heh, I must be getting rusty," he shrugged. "Down we go." He started climbing down into the empty cantina through the maintenance hatch, his faintly glowing injuries doing little to light the path. "Man... this place is darker than Death's backside."

Lekki just glared at him, biting his tongue to prevent further comment. When Kadaj was done Kamen released the boy and moved over to a chair, yawning silently. Lekki propped himself up a bit and moved away from Kadaj. He scoffed slightly, still in pain. "I'll be fine... I've taken worse." He was trying to sound stronger then he really was, but he really had taken worse before...
He tried not to whine or cry, though he really wanted to. He could barely stop himself from trembling. This whole ordeal really freaked him out and all he wanted to do was crawl in a corner and shut out the world....

Nikky shook her head and laughed a bit before following him. She looked around. "Sure made a mess..." She moved around and picked up an unopened bottle of booze that was just laying there. "Come on. Lets go..." She smiled at Reno before starting out of the cantina.

Reno grinned at the bottle in her hand. "Now you're really talking..." His injuries taken care of, he put an arm around Nikky and started walking her back to the hotel. Her various bruises and scratches also began to fade under auras of green...
He opened the door to their room, pulling Nikky against him for a passionate kiss as they entered.

Kadaj watched the suffering boy on the bed. He could see the child was straining not to shake with pain and fear... taken away from everything familiar...
Thirteen years ago. He had burns all over... it was freezing cold outside... and to make things worse, the baby was crying.
He didn't know what to do. There was no one to tell him what was wrong or right anymore. His brothers were even more confused and upset than he was. Once, there was a world, a world beneath a world, populated by six people. And then it was torn apart.
He curled up against a wall. He didn't know where he was. But it was away from... them. The ones that burned down the place the scientists were hiding him.
The only parents he ever knew.
He was quiet about it, but he did cry.
He shook the memory out of his mind. Revisiting the past for the umpteenth time won't help. He spoke again, more quietly. "You're sure you don't want medicine?"

Lekki looked up at him with wide green eyes. He stared at him for a long time before looking down and away silently. He really does want to help... why can't I just let him? He sighed shakily. "I... I'm not sure." He said softly, looking back at him. "But... if you want me to, I guess I could..." He was hesitant still to take his offer but he couldn't make up his own mind. It was almost impossible for him. It had been so long since he had thought for himself... on his own.
Kamen was amusing himself by halfheartedly watching the cartoon Loz was. Every now and then he would glance over to Kadaj and Lekki but saw no need to butt in.

He nodded and stood up. Surely he could risk one short foray outdoors to retrieve pain medication capsules. He took the spare keycard off the desk and went up to get Lekki some pills.
If only pills could have cured the pain I knew...
No one stood at the desk when he arrived. He rang the bell.
The Innkeeper finally came. He looked wearily at Kadaj and shook his head. "Stupid Morbidist punks."
"I need a... wait. What did you call me?" Kadaj was instantly incensed.
The Innkeeper disappeared into the back and shortly returned, items in tow. He tiredly dropped some packages of pain meds into the Remnant's hands. "Take your dope and go. I don't feel like reporting armed robbery tonight. Nobody ever believes me."
"What did you call me?" Kadaj repeated.
"If you had any idea what that d**n silver hair really stood for you'd shave it off." The man stalked away.
Kadaj was about to retort when it hit him. Wait... there are people out there who... imitate Remnants?
He headed back to his room, shaking his head. There are some sick, twisted people out there.
He came in and opened up the medicine cases, offering a couple of caps to Lekki with a cup of water. "Here."

Lekki watched him go and after a few minutes he looked over to Kamen. The older boy was almost fast asleep in the chair. A smile hinted at his lips before he looked back at the door as Kadaj came back in. He watched him nervously before reluctently taking the pills and water. He swallowed the pills with a drink of water. "Thanks..." He said weakly, smiling a tad.

Nikky followed Reno into there room and kissed him back, slightly startled at his sudden passion. She made sure the door was shut and locked as kissed him back, moving a bit to set the bottle on the in table. "Don't forget our movie time..." She grinned as she kissed him again.

Reno kissed Nikky back, feeling altogether warm... "I didn't forget... but I wonder if I should..." He smiled and held her to him, savoring her.

Kadaj nodded to Lekki. "Not a problem." He got the loaf of bread they'd brought back from Vikktor's place and started munching it. He glanced at Kamen and smiled. "Boy's had a rough day." He sat back. "But haven't we all..." He felt halfway like dozing off himself...

Lekki shifted a bit, wincing ever so slightly in discomfort. He looked over to Kamen before sighing. "In a way... it was one of the most frightening days." He looked back to Kadaj, not sure if he understood. "Let me... rephrase that." He thought about it. "My life has been h*ll up until now... and now I have no idea what to do. I can't think properly anymore, I can't feel what I used to feel... and I..." His voice failed him for a minute as he dropped his head. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do..." His voice was quiet, almost unaudible. He felt like was about to cry but was doing a good job of holding those dreaded tears back. Not now....

Nikky grinned and hugged him, letting him hold her. "Well at least move to the couch or something... more comfortable." She moved a bit in that direction, still grinning.
