Kidd looked to Tifa and Cloud. He shook his head as he followed the line inside the ship. Why are you so proud dad. Can't you ever break a vow for the ood of your family? The good of the world. Tifa, Tifa, Tifa...He passed them without a single word.
He thenlooked to Sin. "Is that what it is? Maybe we have more in common than we thought."

Kadaj passed to one of the back cabins. He couldn't help noticing tiny fingers curled around a slightly open door, and a sharp gasp as he walked by...
He tried to pick up the pace, but Ami and Loz wouldn't let him.
She got him into the back. Reno was right behind, working on his injuries, to save Ami the trouble of dragging him back to do it. "D**n, yo... you just let her beat the f***king tar out of you! What the h**l was that?"
He shook his head. "She would have one day anyway. She learned hate that day in Nibelheim. I had to let her get it out or it would have ended more painfully than you could dare imagine."

Tifa waited until the Remnants were out of sight and headed quickly to the room where she'd instructed the kids to hide.
She nearly panicked at the sight of the door slightly ajar, and waves of relief washed over her to find the kids all right, if slightly confused, sitting on their bed.
She pulled them into her arms and hugged them almost tightly enough to crush them.
Marlene then asked a question she would never forget. "Tifa, are we friends with the monsters now?"

Cloud wearily lowered himself into a seat, adjusting his sword to get it out of the way. He noticed Kidd staring at him. "What?"

Sin smiled and nodded.
He has a demon too.. so does Vincent... and Sephiroth is a damn near demon himself. Hell... Just makes it more fun for me.
He went inside the ship and sighed, heading off to get something to drink.

Vincent hovered over Cloud like a dark storm. "His father's son," he commented.
Cloud had to agree that was true.
Vincent spotted Sin walking off to the galley.
He turned to Cloud. "Need a drink?"
Cloud nodded. "If you're volunteering."
He walked off to the galley.
Sin was already there. He waited patiently for his turn at the tap.

Rude finished settling Nikky and her brother into a cabin (per Reno's request) and followed the ever-present sound of his partner's voice.
He knocked on the cabin door. Ami, the only one not serving as a healer or a healee in the current exchange, got up to answer.
"Hey, Rude," she greeted. "Reno's almost finished in there--"
"I was intercepted by Abel," he interrupted succinctly. "He wants a heading."
"Kalm," Kadaj immediately interjected.
Rude raised an eyebrow.
"Kalm," Ami confirmed.
The eyebrow returned to a neutral position.
"Yazoo is there," Ami explained. "We think he's in trouble."
"As good a place as any," Rude rumbled. "I'll pass along our orders."
He headed up to the c0ckpit.

Sin looked up at Vincent as he finished getting his drink. He moved over and sat down.
"Vincent, Kidd may have the same problem we do. I saw him nearly grow claws. They flashed for a second and he seemed to gain control again."
He drank a deep gulp and looked over towards Vincent.
"So, Who in the hell was that priest? He smelled like blood, and I don't have the senses you do."
He took another drink, and set down the half empty mug. The ship shook a little as it bumbed into a building, and they headed off for Kalm.
