Reno half-laughed, burying his face in her hair. "Few guys are lucky enough ever to say that," he replied humorously, muffled slightly. He pushed his face through the tangled mass to kiss her neck. "You're one in a million, sweetheart." He paused and pulled back to look at her with a wry grin. "Not to say that I've HAD a million... you know what I mean." He nuzzled against her again, moving his arms up and down her back. "If I had, I'd probably be dead by now from the exhaustion alone. Ha... what a way to go." He kissed her cheek, pulling her closer. "Though we could aim for that mark if you wanted... I'm pretty sure that between the two of us we could pull it off."

Nikky laughed and shifted to give him better access to her neck. "Aww thats a shame, bein' the millionth might have made me lucky." She grinned back and wrapped her arms around him, holding him. She shook her head. "Ha.... in your dreams lover boy." She teased before kissing him.

"You're already lucky enough, Nikky... if you were any luckier you'd be TOO good for me," he joked as he felt her arms twined over his back. He sighed with contentment as he sank back into her kisses... moving his lips slowly and passionately against hers... the sounds of their kissing pleasant and soothing to his ears... He wanted to linger in this place as long as she would let him, while the world seemed to have no call for their services... he had wanted her for so long and finally, he had her.

Nikky laughed and kissed him. "You're going to smother me if you keep it up, Reno..." She joked as she kissed him back and scooted against him lovingly. He made her feel wanted, a feeling she had been without for so many years....

He nuzzled his face against hers... He instinctively tried to think of a comeback, but decided against it, unwilling to spoil the moment. He could tell he'd made her happy, and that, of course, was always a little boost to his own self-esteem... he moved his head downwards, slowly, pausing along the way to kiss her neck again... he stopped when he found what he was looking for.
He could hear her heart beating.
Geez, I could just lay here and listen to that all day...

Nikky stopped when she wasn't sure what he was doing. She blinked before understanding. She smiled and ran a hand through his hair softly, holding him to her. She wondered silently what made her so special as she watched him lovingly.... it had always confused her. She wasn't special to anyone else.... but she guessed that's what love really was....

He listened silently for a few more moments, moving his head into her hand... feeling her warm fingers on his scalp... her arms curled around his body... he rested in her embrace, absolutely happy for the first time since he could remember.
"Nikky... let's make a deal, hmm?" He closed his eyes, just hearing her heart beat, her lungs inhale... "You keep this heart of yours beating... and I'll stick around to listen, OK?"

Nikky smiled warmly at him, stroking his hair and holding his warmth. She nodded slightly, looking up at the ceiling. "Yeah... I can keep that deal." She paused, thinking of something physical she loved about him... "And if you don't cut your hair..." She laughed. "I promise I won't leave you...."

He laughed with her at that, moving his head up to look at her. "Sure. I wasn't gonna cut it 'till the troops came home, anyway. Of course, the war's been over for nearly ten years now, but who's counting." He stayed snuggled up against her, lying his head back down on her chest... he loved cuddling against her body like this, feeling warm and loved and needed... he stroked her skin lightly, gazing into space. "Nikky... give it to me straight. Why did you ever say yes to a bozo like me?" He listened... thud-thud, thud-thud... "Why are you marrying me?"

Nikky laughed and hugged him. "Alright good..." She snuggled him before blinking. She had never really thought about it... "I think its because... you make me feel wanted, needed... I like that feeling, I guess. I like how you make me laugh and have fun... how you are so intriguing and funny... I don't know... I feel whole around you...." She snuggled against him. "I just don't want to lose something that seems so... perfect. I want to stay this way forever...."

He snuggled back... the most amazing feelings were washing over him... "G**, Nikky... that has got to be... like, THE most beautiful thing I ever heard," he sighed. "But, you know... that's kind of along the lines of what I was thinking... I mean, not in so many words. I s**k when it comes to, you know, putting the words together right, when I'm talking about stuff like this. I guess what I mean, is, I couldn'a said it better myself, baby." He craned his head upward to kiss her, pulling her face gently towards his.

"I keep meaning to ask and I always forget: You a natural green, babe?" He laughed before rubbing the hair against his face, smelling it and kissing it as he waited for her answer.

Nikky laughed and looked at him. "Strangely yeah... I am. My brother and I, roughly seven years ago, were exposed to some weird kind of magic or something and our hair turned green..." She shook her head. "I hated it at first... but now I think its kinda cool..." She smiled.
