Fituna nodded and glanced to the others before catching up with Yazoo and walking beside him. "This mansion is a maze. The younger ones would always get lost down this way and it would take hours to find them sometimes..." She glanced around cautiously before leading the way down the slightly brither hall.
Jeremy stopped and looked back to him, taking a long look at his now 'friend'. He was still rather beat up and had a slight limp to him but he still held his difiance and resiliant mask. He scoffed softly and looked away without anything more. He kept walking as he spoke roughly. "How did you find Kamen, barge into his life as well I suspect?" He glanced back, his tone holding a cold distrust but not violence. "Has he told you anything about himself or were you just going off Vikktor's toying??"
Kamen and Lekki followed Loz up the stairs. Lekki glared a bit at him. "I said I was fine you big brute." He sounded childish and bratty as he glared at Loz. This was his little bit of defiance and strength.
"Hey now, he was just asking." Kamen soothed as he lead them through the other door into a shorter corridor. "No need to bring out the claws." Lekki huffed but nodded in agreeance, he was still fearful and nervous. Kamen knew that...

Loz restrained himself from unleashing a harsh retort on the boy, a retort that likely would have involved physical harm. He turned his attention to Kamen instead, ignoring Lekii as pointedly as possible, like a little kid who's been offended. "You're just about human again. Too bad... you would have been a good brother. It was fun while it lasted... maybe we could do it again sometime!" He lit up at the idea as they started poking into the upstairs rooms.
Meantime, Yazoo tapped into the Sight, the same extra-sense he had used to help find his family in the Shinra complex. "No call to worry about that. I have a very good sense of direction." His eyes began to glow like those of a cat staring into headlights. He gave Fituna a slightly curious look. "You seem slightly behind the times... most people would panic at the first sight of my family." The Nibelheim incident was eight years ago... so that means... "Have you been trapped here for nine years?"
Hmm... you don't trust me, Kadaj thought, glaring at the back of Jeremy's head. I'm not offended... I don't trust you, either. But you won't get the better of my temper... I'm not that stupid. "Told me anything... ha. He's told me everything. We had a memetic bond. There is nothing about him I DON'T know." He tried reaching out mentally to sense any lifeforms nearby, but the entire castle seemed lined with mental barriers...

Kamen laughed a bit as he searched through the doors for people. "Yeah, just hopefully not while I'm drunk. that was on the mean side..." He looked to Lekki before opening a door and going in, looking around with his hand on the hilt of his sword, just in case. "But it was fun while it lasted..."
Fituna noticed but blew off the change. Not caring either way. She looked back at him and shook her head. "Trapped? Hardly... but behind the times maybe. I do not panic... not unless it is absolutely necessary. You don't pose a threat to me anymore... so why worry about it?" She asked curiously, watching him.
Jeremy almost laughed but bit his tongue. "Kamen must have really changed if he actually told you anything... Hmn." He looked around before testing a door. Locked. He glared. "The Kamen I knew would have rather slit his throat then tell you how he felt or his past..." He kicked down the door with an irritated kick. "The past is not something we ever spoke of... nor our future." He said bitterly as he looked around. "Nothing..." He swore under his breath before turning to face him coldly. "I'll put it mildly. I don't like you... you don't like me. We're only doing this for everyone else's sake. Now please... don't get in my way..." He moved past him and down the hall.

Hmph. "If you insist, young sir," Kadaj replied mockingly. Kadaj walked some feet behind him... So much the better for me. If we happen on a booby trap, or a monster, you'll be the one to take the brunt of it. You want the lead? Be my guest. He kept his hand on the hilt of his sword, all too aware this boy knew where they we going... and he did not. You aren't so tough without your explosives on you... don't think for an instant that you present the least threat to me. But I don't trust this place at all... it smells as foul as the Shinra labs and is just about as ill-lit, too.
Yazoo didn't bother explaining to Fituna why others feared him. The story was too long and too painful. "Never mind. It isn't important." This will remain on a need to know basis. And since Jenova and Sephiroth are hopefully trapped, I doubt there will ever BE a need to know. "In my experience, panic is never a necessity. Panic doesn't do any good... I'm certain a study would show panic has in itself claimed more lives than war, famine, and pandemic." He recovered his smirk at the solemn jest.
"Don't look at me, Kamen... I didn't know they'd spiked you until morning. I was completely out of the loop on that one," Loz insisted, keeping his weapon at the ready as they advanced through the upper floor. "It's no great secret that I'm no good at holding my liquor."

Jeremy ignored him coldly as he walked rather sulkily down the corridor. He knew what was up ahead and wasn't frightened.... He could care less if he lived or died now. He couldn't help but wonder where his friend had met these guys... or why he was so different now....
Fituna nodded slowly as she opened a door and looked in. she frowned a bit as she walked in, flicking on a small light. She stepped farther in and looked around. "Studies would show a lot about people if only they would answer the questions correctly..." She looked back at him just in time to see the smirk. "But I'm guessing the word doesn't even regesture in your mind when a crisis comes up... am I wrong?" She mused, not finding the need to look further in this room as she walked back and past him closely.
Kamen laughed. "Oh, I know Loz. I'm not pointing any finger at you... You were out before they probably thought of spiking my drink...." He searched around mentally but couldn't. It was too hard...

"Of course it does. Natural biology produces the reaction we call panic... the trick is to ignore nature."I've ignored nature most of my life. He stiffened slightly as she walked past him. I happen to be ignoring nature right now. He turned and followed her, able to only dimly feel his way by extra-sensatory means. It was the mental equivalent of trying to stare through a paper screen. He hated having to obey her lead, but saw no other real choice...
Kadaj couldn't help getting a little impatient. This boy was certainly taking his time about searching the fortress... and heaven only knew how much further they had to go before checking all the rooms in this wing... but he gritted his teeth and maintained his distance.
Loz felt Kamen trying to run a mental search, but already knew it would be no good. "Guess we just gotta do this the old-fashioned way..." He splintered a heavy wooden door that refused to give for him and looked inside.

Fituna nodded to his statement. "That could be true... must have took you years though." She pondered as she opened a door, she stepped back as a man came running out. She smiled. "Tariel... nice to see Vikktor didn't kill you." She smiled rather coldly but looked back to Yazoo with a softer look. "He tried to escape yesterday... we thought he was dead."
Jeremy stopped and drew a knife. He paused before stabbing the wall beside him, still facing forward. Red security beams shot across the corridor in criss cross fashion. He sighed. "D*mn security..." He sheathed his knife before looking over his obsticle. He formulated his plan and stepped a few feet back, pulling out a small bottle.
Kamen nodded and sighed. "Guess so..." He looked to Lekki before looking inside the room Loz just opened. Lekki made a little noise before rushing past Loz into the room. He saw another hidden door....

Loz gave the kid a funny look as he watched him run by. He turned to Kamen and shrugged. "What's got into him?"
Kadaj backed off a couple paces, watchign Jeremy closely... What the h**l is that bottle?
"Indeed... many years," Yazoo confirmed, just before the would-be escapee burst onto the scene. Yazoo gave Tariel an appraising look. "Hmm. And how did he try to escape?" He noticed the softening in Fituna's face...

Kamen shrugged but walked into the large room, covered in books and papers. Lekki stopped at the door and slowly opened it, stepping back as if something were going to get him. Nothing did so he peeked in. A wide grin spread across his face. "I found the dungeons..." ^^
Kamen laughed a bit at the boys excited attitude. He remembered when they used to play down in there, chase the bats and play good cop, bad cop.
Jeremy ignored him as he popped it open and threw the clear liquid out under the beams. He grinned a bit before running and sliding under the security system, using that liquid to make it easier. He stood and slipped out of his coat, looking back at Kadaj, less coldly. "Its just water... I swear."
Fituna laughed and looked back to Tariel, hands on her hips. "Care to tell us your failed plan, Tariel??" She teased almost cruelly.
Tariel frowned before sighing. "Alright, so I snuck out through the window, killed the driver of Master's Friend's car, took the guys place and went with that..." He glared at Fituna. "I would have gotten out too if it weren't for the man's stupid dog!" He said defensively. "That thing was evil..."
Fituna shook her head and sighed. "And what number was that one again? Thirteen?? Fourteen??"
"Sixteen. Now leave me alone." He looked at Yazoo, blinked. "You related to K? You guys sure look alike..." He looked around. "How'd you guys get down here, anyway?? Master doesn't like it when we have newbs down here...."

Yazoo might have laughed at Tariel's assumption that he was a "new kid", were he of a more humor-prone disposition. His grip tightened on his pistols. "I doubt you will believe me if I tell you... but for the record, no, I am not related to Kamen, and I am not worried about what your 'master' likes or doesn't. Your 'master' is dead."
Kadaj automatically assumed Jeremy was lying, but he had no practical reason to support this idea. The liquid didn't look or smell out of the ordinary. Besides, Jeremy had used the liquid and was showing no ill effects... No one makes a fool out of me.
He made up his mind and went under the beams, being careful to only let it get on his coat. He stood and removed the garment, hanging it over his arm. "Carry on."
Loz advanced curiously. "The way to the dungeon... is on the second floor...?" It made no sense to him, but it looked awfully coo anyway...

Tariel blinked before looking to Fituna, who nodded. He looked back at Yazoo, a little paler then before. "You're serious... aren't you??" He seemed shocked but recovered after a minute by grinning. "Oh g*d I wish it were my birthday... then it would be perfect!" Fituna shook her head and laughed before leading the group on.
Jeremy would have smirked but didn't. "See? No harm done..." He left his coat there though as he went on down the hall, a little faster then before. He knew there weren't anymore trips like that for a while....
Kamen looked back at him. "Vikktor moved it to the second floor so we couldn't reach it. This room was off limits. There are stairs that lead all the way down..." Lekki was already off and down them.

Loz shrugged. "Whatever... better go and make sure the little guy doesn't hurt himself." He ducked slightly to get through the dungeon door, which had clearly been built for people nowhere near his size.
Kadaj kept an eye on his coat to make sure there weren't any suspicious chemical reactions after they passed by the laser alarm trip, but time passed and nothing happened. His coat was now wetter than before, that was all. OK, so this once you didn't lie to me. But I won't relax just yet...
Yazoo understood Tariel's liberated feelings, but he also understood that when the high wore off, he would have life to face again, the good, the bad, and the mundane. At least you haven't got an entire planet that wants you dead... well, with a few notable exceptions. He found himself glancing at Fituna as he thought this. He stopped himself and looked away.

Kamen nodded and followed him. Lekki jumped down the last five or so steps, landing awkwardly. He regained himself before running to the metal door that stopped them from going into the dungeon. He glared at it before looking around for the keypad. He was a hacker after all.... Lekki started cracking the code for the thick metal door. Kamen looked around Loz to see his friend at work. He had gotten fast since he last saw the boy... and he was a lot thinner too. That worried him.
Jeremy hummed ever so softly as he knocked against the wall every few feet. He was checking for something. The corridor kept getting darker and darker, there being no lights.... Jeremy wasn't too comfortable with this, but made no move to express that.....
Tariel wandered on down the hall with them, him and Fituna carrying on a small conversation about where Tariel was going to go after this. Fituna glanced back at Yazoo to make sure he was still there, she flashed a smile before going back to talking with her friend.

Yazoo almost smiled back at Fituna... almost. Why does she seem so familiar... He watched her carefully from behind. Something about the color of her hair keeps ringing a bell in the back of my mind... I'd ask her if we've met if we were still alone... He startled himself by realizing he had almost, for a moment, forgotten what they were doing down there.
Loz noticed Kamen trying to look around him and stood aside to let him by. Yeah, it's always something to watch computer nerds at work. He tensed and stood ready for the door to open... Any door this huge and this tightly locked down must have something at lest kind of dangerous behind it.
Kadaj illuminated his hand to lighten their path a little bit... the darkness almost seemed oppressive... He began tapping the wall with the hilt of his sword, trying to figure out what Jeremy was looking for. A hollow space, a secret trigger... whatever it was, it couldn't hurt to keep an eye out for it.

Fituna stopped when Tariel did. At first she didn't realize what he was looking at... blood. A lot of it too. Fituna blinked before looking around. She stepped in front of Tariel and moved towards the pooled blood. It had been there awhile and there was no sign of a struggle of any other drips....
Kamen nodded a thanks to Loz before returning his attention to Lekki. The green haired boy growled as the key pad beeped at him, telling him that his pass was wrong. He sighed and tried again before cracking it. He grinned before stepping back and looking to the others. "One of you open it..."
Kamen blinked and looked to Loz, afraid it might be something bad....
Jeremy glanced back at him at the sudden, light but looked away bitterly. He looked around, feeling up against the wall now. He knew it was around here somewhere. Vikktor never left knowing it might be somewhere else....
He started to grow frustrated before realizing. "What... now I know." He said quietly before stepping three more steps and stopping. He turned and went to the other wall before running his hand over it. He knocked and then punched through the wall.... a safe. Jeremy grinned wide. "Finally..."
