About a mile and a half from the costal port village stands Shelke's remote and highly demanded service headquarters, a secret source of support for the Crescent City resistance.

The truck finally arrived at the clinic. Yuffie came out to meet them, carrying...
"Oh, my G**, is that FOOD?" Reno was practically drooling. "This will be our first real meal in three days, yo!"
Rude opened the passenger door... and was almost mowed down by his famished partner. "STARRRVIIIING!"
Shelke watched him placidly as he begged on his knees like a puppy, making big, big eyes at her ninja companion. "I am willing to offer you lodging in our ICU's isolated recovery chambers. Most of our patients do not require them-- we were made to build them in accordance with zoning laws. The beds are not precisely the most comfortable, but they should suit you temporarily."
Kadaj climbed out of the back. "They're probably better than anything I'm used to. We absolutely accept... at least for now." Shelke didn't need much time to settle in her new guests. They brought virtually nothing but some weapons, a bag or two, and the clothes on their backs. She could foresee the massive drain on supplies, food, revenue, manhours they'd require just to be comfortable, but... technically, they were to be considered family, most of them. Some more than others.
She opened a door for Sin. The room was sparsely furnished-- two beds, two bedside tables and drawers, two lamps, some divider curtains. A naugahide chair, wall mounted television set, and tin instrument tray completed the picture.
"I will serve a communal meal at sunset," she continued. "In the meantime, situate youself."

[Yeah, I did not think you were going that far back though.]
Sin nodded. He entered the room and sat down on the naugahide chair. He waited until the sounds stopped, and removed his shirt to work on controlling the transformations once more.
It was an hour later, and enough pain to leave him gasping and examining the bite through part of his tongue. He felt it would heal well enough on its own, so he went to examine the surroundings.
He found himself in a secluded area after a while, and climbed high into what he believed was an oak. Nesting himself comfortable a foot from the tip of the tree, Sin closed his eyes and rested.

He felt a jarring sensation at the base of the tree. "Sin-kun? Siiin? Are you OK?"
Ami stared up from the base of the tree, wide eyed. "Do you know anything about spaceships?"

"Umm.. they take you to space, use various methods to do so, and aliens ones are most likely more advanced than ours."

She facepalmed. "Not incredibly helpful, Sin-kun." She gazed up at him wryly. "Will you help us fix the seeder ship, please? We need to reactivate the signal beacon, remember?"

He smiled. "Sure Ami-chan, but... I have no clue how.. to do much of anything.." He chuckled after this with a thought. "Wow, so I am a clean slate, and except for certain.. friends.. I am pretty much mold able to any setting huh?" He rubbed his chin, wondering about this.

She nodded enthusiastically. "That's what my plan is all about. We all get to start over."
She began climbing up after him. "Brother's getting tools from Shelke-chan. So are you coming, or do I have to knock you out of this tree first?" She smirked teasingly.
She heard the door open and crouched low. "Hey, it's Cloud-sama. Let's jump him if he gets too close. Anyone that serious needs to be taught a lesson!"

Sin laughed quietly and nodded, waiting. He looked to Ami and pulled her up a little higher so she was hidden in the tree as he was. He looked to her for timing as to when he should jump, shifting so he was not snagged on anything.

She wiggled slightly with anticipation, preparing to pounce, smothering giggles.
She prepared to make her move. Just as he got below her--
CR-RACK!
"Oh shi--!"
CRASH.
A tangle of Ami, Sin, and tree was produced as the branch gave way beneath them. Cloud, having barely avoided the disaster simply by being oblivious to it, turned around to survey the results. "I get the feeling I'll be better off for asking no questions about this."

Sin groaned, circles in his eyes as he was unconscious at the bottom of the pile of limbs and flesh. He started to stir until a pine cone fell, knocking him into oblivion. most of the branches fell into an X pattern across him chest and legs, and Ami was at the top of the pile relatively unharmed.

Ami blushed brightly as Cloud simply left the scene. She glanced down at her partner in crime. "Um, Sin-kun?"

He came to at the sound of a faint "clink" inside the clinic, probably a few hours later. Shelke had set a tray on his bedside table. "Since you missed dinner, I thought it would be appropriate to set some rations aside for you."

"Thanks... Last thing I remembered was talking to Ami... then... Pain..."
He put a hand to his head and winced as he felt the goose egg that had formed. He turned towards Shelke and smiled, Hopping off the bed.
"So besides dinner, anything else of importance I missed?"
