FRACTIONSThe is no good or evil Fraction people tend to get confused just because one side has Orcs and Trolls doesn't mean they are evil, in WoW both playable fractions are at war with each other but both have their own point of views on the other. The AllianceThe Alliance is made up of Humans Dwarves Gnomes Night Elves The HordeThe Horde is made up of Orcs Trolls Undead Taruen I will go through each race telling a little about their history and over all personalities in the world of warcraft. The HumansThe Humans are a proud race, over the years they gain allies easly and for the most part very friendly. in the past Humans built their first kingdom in Lordaeron. Humans learned how to use Magic by the High Elves who in return teaching magic the humans would help the High Elves in their fight with the Forest Trolls, The humans formed the old alliance which was made up of Humans, Dwarves, and High Elves, along with a group of Gnomes. The evil Burning Legion set their Orcs through portals to the humans world and waged war on them. The humans and thier allies not only with standed the orcs but the demonic Burning Legion as well. the human race does have their draw backs some friendly but some very raceist toward other races and humans tend to be very greedy as well. Because of Raceist acts the High Elves and Humans strong alliance between each other has faded and walked their parted ways. the older and Druidist Race of Night Elves became their new Allies. The DwarvesThe Dwarves are another proud race very outgoing and loves to drink! they are strong and short, they live in their mountain city called Iron Forge. They have been Allies with the humans for ages and their trust with each other can't be matched with any other race. It is said the the dwarves were the very first race to awaken in the world the titans that shaped the universe were the ones to create the dwarves straight from the stone of the earth. They have fought along side with the old and new Alliance ever sense it started. The GnomesThe Gnomes are the smalles playable race, but do not let their small size fool you these little guys have been friends to the alliance just as long as the dwarves, they share the same living country as the dwarves and they are very smart and have built all of the Alliances technolgy, they even created one of the Dwarves newest favorite weapons, the gun, Their capital city was taken over by a nasy race known as the Troggs and had no choice but to set home in Iron Forge with their Dwarven Cousins, The Gnomes are also great with Magic. some personalities of a Gnome are hyper, outgoing, curious, lots of energy. The Night ElvesThe Night Elves are one of the oldest races one the planet, it is rumored that either them or the Trolls are the 2nd oldest race to live on the plant first being the Dwarves, the Night Elves are a very mystrious race, tent to be quiet, honorable, and hate the use of magic, they rather lean more towars their Druid teaches, they were the first race to battle the Burning Legion 10,000 years ago, and helped the 2nd time by allied with the humans, Night Elves tend to think of themselves as a higher race above their over allies like Humans and Dwarves, they make great warriors as well and have a ability to go in stealth. The OrcsThe Orcs used to live on an planet called Outland where they lived in peace with the other race the Draenei. they studied the ways of a Shaman and healing, but when the Burning Legion came to the planet they corrupted the Orc making them mindless slaves to the burning Legion, that is when the demons sent the orcs to Azeroth home of the Alliance races and waged war on them. there were many battles and the races were almost extint, but a Orc named Trall was raised by humans as a slave and gladior escaped from the humans and banded together the surviving Orcs and released them from their demonic curroption, the teached them the ways of the shaman once again and they became noble once more. personalities of an Orc are Loud, honorable, loves to fight, spiritural, The TrollsThe Trolls are split and to many different types of Trolls there are Forest, Ice, Dark, Island, Sand, and Jungle Trolls. The Dark spear tribe, The are Island Trolls have allied with the Horde, The Trolls hates all other races besides their own kind and the Orcs, the orcs helped their kind from being destoryed by Murlocks so the Trolls owe the Orcs a life dept, Some Trolls are learning like like their newest members the Taruens but they donot trust the Undead at all and only allie with them of they have to same enemies, Trolls HATE Elves and humans and can't stand Dwarves and Gnomes, They specialize in Voodoo magic. Trolls Personalities are Outgoing with people they like, cural, loud, party animals, and mystrious in their own way. The UndeadThese Undead used to be part of the evil Undead Sourge but they freed themselves from the control of the Lich King, and renamed themselves as the Forsaken, They were fighting a loosing battle with their former kind and that of the alliance so they needed allies, they formed an alliance with the Orcs which the Orcs knew their pain and knew what it was like to be controled, the Undead are EVIL if they had the chance they would turn on their Horde allies but they need their help to badly so they keep their evilness a secret. Personalities, Mystrious, Dark, evil, but some Undead have found a means to likeing their place in the Horde. The TaruenThe Taruen are a bull-like race, they allies with the Orcs when they were being attacked by horseman-like race, and the Orcs helped fight them, the Orcs and Taruen gained a strong bond and found out their belifs and ways are very simlar they both practice shaman magics and are very honorable. The Taruen also made a pact with the Night Elves a long time ago, the Taruen to believe in the powers and ways of the druid and Taruen and Night Elves will not kill each other when they are on the same hidden area of the Druid. Personalities, They are honorable, kind, very intelligent, strong, and spiritural. Two new Races!!!!! once the Expansion comes out. The Blood ElvesThe Blood Elves were once High Elves but changed their name after the evil undead scourge destoryed their homeland. They cut themselves off from the old Alliance and hate the humans now for their raceist acts, the Blood Elves then turned to the Horde for help which they never would have thought would happen, The Blood elves and studies the ways of Demonic Magic and are addicted to magic, they hope with the help of the horde can find new ways of magic source. Personalities, they are selfish, think they are above, addiction with magic, quick, and very intellagent. The DraeneiThe Draenei are a very Alien-like race, they were once good friends with the Orcs on Outland but the Burning Legion corrupted them and killed off many Draenei, the Draenei believe in the power of light, and light being known as naaru, the Naaru give them their light power. they Draenei were now being attack by the burning Legion and had to leave their planet of Outland, with the help of Naaru they made crystal-like ships and traveled to Azeroth and search of new allies to help them, they landed near Night Elves area and gained their trust, through the Night Elves the humans and other races accpeted them into the Alliance for their holy light ways, which reminded the Humans of their Palidan ways, Draenei personalities are, honorable, kind and caring, light bringers, spiritural, strong, and very intellegant.

Professions
Professions are different jobs your character can learn, you can only pick two, and they are great for making gold by selling or trading your products or even creating your own armor, potions, ect.
Alchemist ~They Create Potions Alchemists can transmute Arcanite and sell it or sell the use of the transmute to other players Alchemists can also transmute metals Alchemy buffs only sometimes stack with spell buffs. Expert Alchemy requires 125 skill There are alchemy labs that are needed by alchemists to make flasks inside of Blackwing Lair and Scholomance.
Blacksmiths ~They Make Mail and Plate armor There are hidden trainers throughout the world who can teach you new and special recipes. You can also buy new recipes from other players or find them as drops from monsters. There are special quests specifically for blacksmiths. There are no recipes on the trainer past skill 250. You will need to do quests or find drops to get those recipes. Blacksmiths can open locks by creating and using Skeleton Keys. There are blacksmithing recipes available to seasoned blacksmiths via a series of turn-in quests. There are also armorsmithing recipes that are available to master armorsmiths. All three recipes are gained via quest. Additional Blacksmithing recipes can be found in encoded messages found on the members of the Twilight's Hammer in Silithus.
Cook ~Makes different types of food The minimum level for Artisan Cooking is 35. There are many recipes that give buffs that last as long as 15 minutes. These are helpful in raids or in other situations where every little bit helps.
Enchanters ~Enchants Weapons and Armor adding exra states and effects You can continue to re-enchant the same item to skill-up but the item can only have one enchantment at a time. Enchanting is a hardcore skill for hardcore players. It takes a lot of work and players should realize this before getting into it. It's OK to "feed" enchanters with items. This is expected. Have all your guildmates and friends send you items that they don't need so they can be disenchanted. Enchanters can only enchant weapons, gloves, boots, bracers, cloaks, shields, and chest pieces. You can enchant anywhere, you don't need a special place to use your Profession like Blacksmiths do. You can find additional enchanting recipes, called formulae, from hidden trainers or as drops from monsters. You can also get them from reputations. Buy a formula at the auction house. If you try to cast another enchantment on top of an existing enchantment, it will prompt you with a message asking if you want to overwrite the older enchantment. Leatherworkers armor patches do not stack with enchants. You must decide which is more important to have. If you close the disenchanting loot pane without looting the item, the Dust or Essence or Shard is automatically looted for you. Enchanters can turn some of their dusts and shards into magical oils. These oils when applied to weapons add a temporary bonus to magical damage or mana regeneration that stacks with permanent enchantments. The lower levels of these recipes are found on normal enchanting vendors. The higher level versions are found on special vendors and are rewards for high Zandalar faction. To learn expert Enchanting alliance players look for Lucan Cordell in Stormwind, Gimble Thistlefuzz in Ironforge, Xylinnia Starshine in Feralas Taladan in Darnassus. Horde players go to Teg Dawnstrider in Thunder Bluff, Godan in Orgrimmar, Lavinia Crowe in Undercity, For Artisan Enchanting, Alliance players visit Kitta Firewind in Elwynn Forest in the Tower of Azora. Horde players must find Hagarth in Stonetalon Mountains. For Master Enchanting, find Annora in the Uldaman instance. Weapon Enchantment Colors: Some people like to get a particular color Enchantment on their weapons. Learn the colors of each weapon enchantment and market it accordingly.
Engineering ~Can create all kinds of different Inventions Engineering is good for PvP and for a few items useful in raids. Artisan Trainers: For the Alliance, Springspindle Fizzlegear found in Ironforge, Tinkertown. For the Horde, Roxxik is located in Orgrimmar. Gnomes have a racial ability of +15 to Engineering. This allows them to reach Artisan Engineering prior to level 35. Some defenders can be summoned by the Gnome that are higher level thanks to this bonus to engineering. You can create area of effect and direct damage explosives that you can use during combat. You can also give or sell these to other players. Scopes do not require the Engineering skill to equip. You can sell scopes to other players or in the auction house. Whenever someone upgrades their gun they should also want a new scope. The level of the Mechanical Dragonlings, Battlechicken, and Bombs dropped by the Goblin Bomb Dropper scale with your engineering skill, so they will be always useful against enemies. You can find engineering devices as drops on higher level (50+) dungeons and in raids. Bombs cause a disorient effect when they go off. Target Dummies generate an initial taunt pulse so creatures will attack them for the first 5 seconds after they are dropped. Both types of the engineer-made Jumper Cables share a cooldown.
First Aid ~Treats and Heals wounds Since First Aid does not take up one of the two profession slots, every player can get it without penalty. Some say that Tailors shouldn't get First Aid because it wastes cloth, however, you can gather enough cloth to do both.
First Aid is also almost a requirement for Raids. While fighting powerful bosses, Raid leaders sometime say "run away and bandage." Even classes that have healing can still benefit from bandages because bandages conserve mana.
Bandages are channel cast and heal over time. If the player bandaging or the player being bandaged is struck in combat, the bandaging effect ends. Either way, the target still gets the "recently bandaged" debuff. It's really annoying to start to bandage, be hit, then you can no longer use another bandage for 60 seconds. The bandage is wasted and the target is not fully healed. For this reason, try to only use bandages when you won't be attacked. This is not always possible, especially when bandaging in battlegrounds. Try to go hide somewhere or run away from monsters before bandaging to reduce wasted bandages.
You can bandage multiple targets in a row such as yourself, your pet, and party members as long as you pick different targets to avoid the recently bandaged limit.
The recipes for Heavy Mageweave Bandage, Runecloth Bandage, and Heavy Runecloth Bandage can be learned by visiting your faction's Artisan First Aid questgiver.
You will need to purchase an Expert First Aid book to advance First Aid higher than 125. These can sometimes be found in the auction house. You also need to purchase Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage, and Manual: Mageweave Bandage. Alliance players need to buy the books from Deneb Walker in Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands. He can be difficult to find. He's inside the keep on the safe side in a dark corner past a little bridge. Horde players need to find Balai Lok'Wein in Brackenwall Village in Dustwallow Marsh.
The minimum level for Artisan First Aid is 35. To advance past 225 First Aid you will need to be taught by a doctor. This involves performing a special task involving saving patients before a timer is up. Horde players must speak to Doctor Gregory Victor in the town of Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands. Alliance players talk to Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Dustwallow Marsh.
Fishing ~Catch different Types of fish You can sell cooked fish to other players. It's better than store-bought food. You can find cooking recipes for fish from certain merchants. Messages in a bottle have a chance of having a recipe in them. Some of the fishing zones are going to be pretty hard to fish in and will require bait and a good fishing pole. Some fish can only be caught at certain times of the day!
Herbalism ~Pick off different planet life If you're in a party with more than one herbalist, share the plants you find with them. Multiple people can gain skill off the same plant if the first person avoids picking the herbs off the plant. After the plant's contents box appears, simply press "Escape" to stand up, and the second person can then gather and have a chance to raise his or her skill. Don't pick plants while fighting. Wait until the party is safe before moving over to the plant. If you're a Warlock or Hunter you can send your pet in to attack a monster standing on a herb, loot the herb, then run! Don't run off to a plant by yourself without letting the other party members know. If there are monsters in the way, ask the party to clear them for you. Basically, don't do anything to jeopardize the safety of the party while you collect plants. There is an enchant that can increase your Herbalism skill allowing you to pick higher level Herbs Herbalism is a great way to make money. Sell Herbs to other players in the Auction House. Some vendors sell herbs, rarely. You can also find Herbs in some chests. Some monsters commonly drop herbs. Sometimes Bloodvine drops from enemies or can be harvested from Zul'Gurub herbs if the player has a Blood Scythe. Tailors can create special herb carrying bags that have extra slots to carry Herbs.
Leatherworker ~Create your own leather armor Leather patches' effects do not stack. They will overwrite each other when applied. You can only have one patch on an item at a time. Enchants/Imbues and armor patches do not stack. They will overwrite each other. At high levels, players have the ability to specialize as a Dragonscale Leatherworker, Elemental Leatherworker, or Tribal Leatherworker. These specialists can create very powerful and valuable items. There is a recipe at leatherworking trainers that allows Thick Leather to be turned into Rugged Leather. Leatherworkers can make throwing balls (as a toy). There is Silithid armor that can be made by leatherworkers. The recipes require Cenarion Circle faction to learn.
Miner ~Mine through chucks of rock to find riches and Ore. Dark Iron is found mostly inside instances such as Blackrock Depths or Molten Core. Dark Iron must be smelted inside Blackrock Mountain inside an instance. You can purchase an enchant to gloves that will increase your mining skill. There is also an engineering item that raises mining. You can earn money by mining and selling bars, stones, or gems on the auction house. Sometimes you might want to sell ore on the auction house instead of bars because miners like to purchase those to level up their mining. You can share a skill point increase on a mining node by taking turns. One player gathers some ore, then another player gathers ore.
Skinning ~Taking dead animals skins and making clothes and leather Ruined Leather Scraps Light Leather Medium Leather Heavy Leather Thick Leather Rugged Leather Core Leather
Tailoring ~Create your own Cloth armor You can reduce the cost of thread and other ingredients purchased at tailoring shops by increasing your PvP rank to earn the Sergeants discount. Artisan Tailoring is available at the highest level once you have reached level 35. Horde players look for Josef Gregorian (Magic Quarter, Undercity). Alliance players go to Georgio Bolero (Theramore Isle, Dustwallow Marsh). Skinning might go well with tailoring, because you can collect leather for recipes. Additional Tailoring recipes can be found in encoded messages found on the members of the Twilight's Hammer in Silithus. There are some tailoring quests such as Shadowweave Mask (NIlith Lokrav in the Searing Gorge) or Meilosh in the Timbermaw Hold, when you have a friendly reputation with the Timbermaw.
