Full Name: Vieve
Age: 18
Species: Human
Hair Colour: Bald
Eye Colour: Green
Height: 5' 10
Weight: 125
Appearance: She is tall and rather skeletal looking. She wears an old gray hospital gown and a tattered black cloak made from a sheet which covers most of her features. When her hood is pulled back, which is rare due to a sensitivity to sunlight, green cat eyes and pale skin are visible.
Weapon: Recent acquisition- Claw Gauntlets.
Materia: None
History: Not much is known about Vieve, and that's exactly the way she likes it. She has been kept in the maximum security wing of the North Corel Mental Instituation for longer than she can remember, and she would be kept in a prison if there were any crimes to her name that they could put on her. She is the most dangerous kind of psychopath, the kind who seems coherent and nice most of the time but hears voices. She was held there for about 14 years with little trouble and no initiative shown for escape.
One morning, there was a power outage at the Institution. When the power returned, a guard was sent to check on Vieve's cell. His discovery sent ripples of panic through the hospital. The light fixture in her ceiling was broken and meticulously wired to create such a power outage as had occurred, and the bolt on her door was reconfigured to be unlocked with a simple tug. Vieve was gone, but not before she had taken the time to burn a single word into wall... a word written in an unknown dialect... one that seemed to have no translation.
It has been nine months since her vanishing, and an exciting goose chase has ensued. It would seem that a bald woman with green eyes and a black cloak would be simple enough to track down, but luck is with her as she slips through the grasp of the authorities time after time. The media has given her their own name- Catscratch- due to her acquirement of clawed gauntlets and the fact that her eyes are slitted.
Personality: Varied. Considering that she is legally insane, her personality is something that is rather difficult to tack down. Sometimes, she seems dumb and subdued, some of the time, she seems talkative, pleasant, and alert. Occasionally, she has a burst of genius lucidity, during which she needs something to do or work on or she starts scratching her skin raw. Sometimes she rambles incoherently. On some occasions, increasingly in the most recent years, she becomes aggressive, dark, and violent. And sometimes, she degrades into an animal viciousness where right and wrong vanishes and her only function is killing and destruction. On the whole, she is extremely unpredicatable and combines any number of traits on any given day.
There are a few constants. One is her abbhorence of bright light- The only kind of illumination she finds comforting is candle light. When she escaped, she found the first cloth she could- an abandoned black sheet- and made a cloak from it to protect her from the sun. The other is her phobia of her hair. The sight of her hair sends her into a state of panic, and even though she doesn't understand why this is, she goes to any cost to keep even a stubble off of her head.
A bit about you: I prefer anonymity on the internet. I have, at the last count, 21 different aliases and 27 passwords. I VERY rarely use the same password twice, and if I use an alias twice, I add a different password.
The literary arts are a hobby and pasttime for me, with visual art coming in first on my list of priorities and music third. Expect some art from me up at some point, as I just got a new scanner.
My favorite FFVII character is Kadaj, because he's just that sexy.
I know one or two things about insanity. I got a pretty good glimpse at the deep end last year. Why I should choose to revisit that on this board is beyond my grasp of intrapersonal comprehension at this point, but perhaps the fact that this is such a caricatured and exaggerated way of portaying it that it will help put the past behind me. And that's all you get to know about any similarities I share with this character.
