Non Playable Characters: The Prime Brothers (AKA The Silver Haired Men)
Full Names (legal): Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz Lazuli
Full Names (scientific from youngest to oldest): Series Twelve Prime, Series Nine Prime, Series Six Prime
Full Names (Seraphi): Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz u'd Jenova
Age (from youngest to oldest at time of death): 17, 20, 23
Species: Jenova/human cell hybrid clones (quasi-Seraphs)
Hair Colour: Silver
Eye Color: Blue-green (Jenovan eyes)
Height: Loz is about seven feet, Yazoo about six foot five, and Kadaj five foot eleven.
Weight: Ranges from 150 to 225.
Appearance: Their pale skin, cat eyes, and leather outfits set them apart in any crowd, even one so diverse and strange as the one they now find themselves allied to.
Personality: Each clone was engineered to focus a facet of Sephiroth's most successful qualities. Kadaj is the brains of the outfit, literally. His encyclopedic mind posesses a qualified genius for strategy and combat maneuvers... but his mental acumen is at times canceled out by undercurrents of impulsiveness and illogical emotion. The very thing which redeemed him is also his most potent weakness: his attachment to his sister and the personal responsibility he has taken for all his siblings. Something of a self-appointed leader among his siblings, he makes every effort to project an image of infallibility (most of the time).
Yazoo represents the Template's charisma and allure, a trait most obviously manifested in his hypersensitive empathetic capabilities. He can read human emotion like an open book, and even influence it in certain cases. A side effect of this has been an apparent loss of emotion within himself; however, he does harbor certain feelings at the core of his being, and allows them to guide him when all else fails.
Loz is the muscle of the group. While all of the Primes have certain fighting skills, Loz is a perfect fighting machine, gifted with limitless energy and inestimable strength. His mind, unfortunately, was not developed to be an excellent one... or even an average one. He not only chooses to follow his heart-- he seems to have no other alternative, for his emotion and instinct must provide for him the guidance that intelligence cannot. This leads him to be somewhat childish and prone to overreaction, a trait which makes him annoying to some and endearing to others.
Weapon: Souba (double-bladed katana), Velvet Nightmare (pair of melee pistols), Dual Hound (pile bunker/shield).
Materia: Summon- Shadowcreepers (Yazoo only)
Speed (Loz only)
Multi-projectile energy blast (Kadaj only)
Otherwise depends on materia available for use
History: Like their sister, Amnesty Lazuli, the Brothers were part of a genetic experiment codenamed "The Prime Project", an offshoot of the Jenova Project. After a pair of scientists rescued them from Shinra's grasp and were consequently killed, the Brothers learned how to survive on the street by intimidation, ingenuity, and charisma... lessons that would come in handy in their bids to first take over and later save the world.
One of the most profound of these lessons was to never trust anyone outside their memetic circle. As children, they were often forced to run and hide from Shinra agents, including but not limited to the Turks Reno and Rude. (Though Reno and Rude once had ample chance to capture the Brothers, their sympathy for children led to let the brothers escape.) Therefore, even after being adopted by a kindly magistrate, the brothers came to rely only on each other and on their sister, who became the "pet" of the group.
Their work and play together sharpened the skills bred into them by their Shinra lab creators, but it was merely ill circumstance that taught them to become heartless terrorists. When Ami took sick, they began suffering similar nightmares and visions, all leading to their "mother", Jenova.
Believing she could stop Ami's gradual death, they ran away from home to seek her out. A group of Jenova cultists discovered the boys in Midgar, led by the oracular powers Jenova's essence had given them. The boys followed them to their mother, a then-incomplete corpse of Jenova preserved within a prototype of the genetic splicer Ami would eventually encounter. The cultists then proceeded to brainwash the Brothers according to Jenova's direction by a series of mental and physical torture processes. Some months later, they emerged transformed, the entire purpose of their existence centered on their mother's will. Ami was forgotten in the rush of their madness. Only once was a flash of her memory rekindled-- as Kadaj found the extent of the damage to his "Mother's" head in Aeris' church, the familiar sensation of loss and fear broke a dam in his mind, and as he realized what he had become, he let out a horrific scream of anguish. The flood was shored up again quickly by Jenova's mental manipulation... but this moment was enough to convince the Council of the Ancients that perhaps he should be allowed a chance to redeem himself.
The tragedy of the Brothers' transformation came to a head in the rebirth of Sephiroth, who found the Brothers unsuitable hosts and left them to die. The trio went to the Lifestream, where after much deliberation, the Council decided the three should protect their sister and aid her in the services they foresaw she would provide to the world. They accepted this fate gratefully and spent a year watching over her silently, until it was decreed Kadaj and finally all three of the Brothers should manifest themselves to her directly. Several means were experimented with in achieving this end until at last Ami lit on the idea of using summon materia to call them in times of need. And so it has proceeded that they came to fight on behalf of our world rather than against it-- through chance and association, Amnesty has found herself repeatedly at odds with malicious forces seeking to destroy the planet, and they find themselves forced by the workings of the summons to follow Ami's will. Their former minds restored, they now serve a new kind of Reunion-- a restored bond between brothers and sister, stronger than the power of Death itself.
"One second I was just a sixteen-year-old kid in science class, trying to figure out how to get extra credit... five seconds later, my life had changed completely.
And suddenly, I remembered I was different."
