Full Name : Cid Highwind
Age : 34
Species : Human
Hair Colour : Pale blonde
Eye Colour : Blue
Height : 5'8"
Weight : 180 lbs.
Appearance : Short blonde hair that is swept back, held in place with a pair of pilot's goggles, clear blue eyes, and rugged features. He tends to forget to shave, and sometimes looks older than he actually is. He wears a blue shirt, khaki cargo pants, gloves, and heavy leather boots, and totes around a bomber jacket as well. He has a pair of dogtags hanging from a chain around his neck, and a bandage to the side of his left eye.
Personality : Although at first Cid may seem rude, abrasive, and uncaring, his heart's in the right place, and if a friend of his needs help, he'll gladly step in. In fact, he'll jump into any situation that sounds exciting to him. He can be stubborn and arrogant at times, but in a pinch, he's a good leader, and has experience that comes from being older. He doesn't like to be in one place for any amount of time, and is usually off somewhere flying around in his airship. He enjoys building and designing new things, and refuses to adjust his vocabulary for anybody.
Weapon : A spear, caustic language
Materia :
Leviathan
Lightning
Shield
History : Cid refuses to discuss much of his early life, but will admit that he was born someplace rural, because the stars were very easy to see at night. He developed a keen interest in flying into space, and worked as a mechanic to raise money to further this goal. As soon as he was old enough, he joined Shin-Ra as a trainee pilot, and learned to fly there, quickly becoming one of the best. When he was nominated for the rocket program, Cid believed things could only get better from there, but on the day of the launch, Shera, an assistant, insisted on doing final checks on a part of the rocket much too close to liftoff. Not wanting to kill her, Cid aborted the launch, and soon after, Shin-Ra cut the funding for the project. Cid is still bitter about this, but keeps himself distracted by designing and building newer and better airships.
A bit about you : I played this game ages ago, but still love it. In fact, I have a mind to steal it from a friend so I can replay it. While we're in that vein, I don't much like Shera, and don't plan on playing Dirge of Cerberus. But hey, that's me. I also like survival horror games, most horror movies, and sushi. I'd like to be a comic book artist in the future.
