Vieve watched as Amnesty pounded on the door of her padded cell and smirked. She couldn't escape, just as Vi had tried so many times.
She materialized in front of Ami, grabbing her by the wrists and shoving her to the floor. "You wanted to know, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?!"
A syringe appeared in Vi's hand and she cackled. "Welcome to my domain, b***h!" She plunged the needle into Ami's arm. "This s*** was supposed to make me sleep. It never worked. So it won't work on you, and you get to sit here and listen to me talk about you! I might even perform an experiment or two..." An evil grin twisted her face into a mask of insanity.

The Loz clone (Series Six) went down. A Yazoo clone (Series Nine) emerged next. "Big, bad mistake..." He zipped towards Squall and threw him into one of the empty tubes, shattering it.

Ami flipped her off. "Sc**w you, b***h." She kicked the syringe out of Vi's hand and aimed another kick at her head. We're inside Vi's mind... what damage can I actually do here? Right now it's a premise of holding her off until I get out of here...

Funny bone! Squall got up and rubbed his elbow furiosly. Big bad mistake to you too! squall leapt up and dived at the clone through the broken tube, spiralling through the air with this gunblade running wild infront of him. " Ill cut down every last one of you bastards!" although he didnt realise it, subconciously he was thinking about Ami, she was relying on him, and it was an empowering thought for him.

The Series Nine gave him a nasty smirk, grabbing a large shard of broken glass to block the gunblade. The blade cut the long shard down to size, but the shard slowed Squall's advance enough for the S9 to sidestep it and swipe at Squall with the jagged shards he had left in passing.

Her foot flew straight through Vi's head as her laughter echoed through the room. "You're the one who made the mistake of coming here. You're a figment of my imagination. I could do this to you..." She waved a hand at Ami's foot, causing it to stretch to abnormal proportions. She giggled playfully. "It's up to you whether it hurts or not, but tell me that doesn't at least screw with your mind."
She let go of her foot. "That's fun." An almost wistful look came to her face. "Why did you come here, really?" She was shifting back to Friendly Vi.

Argh! The glass scratched its way deep into Squalls hand before bouncing off his ring. I knew you were lucky! Squall crashed to the ground and skidded to a halt next close to where Ami and vieve lay. He stared horrified at Amis face, not an expression of pain or anger, but fear. He sat transfixed for a couple of seconds feeling helpless. Thats enough. Squall got up and stared at the clone. " Why!? Why are you all doing this?!! JENOVA!!! I know you can here me!!" He shouted. Im gonna slaughter every last one of your clones, and when im done, Im gonna come for you... Squalls eyes burned with rage and he grinned wickedly, " To whatever world awaits you..." Squall held his gunblade behind him for a second then slashed it horizontaly infront of him with unsurpassed force, flames licked round the edge of his blade as it cut through atoms in the air. A thin but powerful wave cut through the room reaking havok, the tubes shatter, the clones disintergrated and the wall quaked. *blinks* Squall staggered over to Ami, his strength gone, " Ami..."

Ami's eyes were cold.You won't have another chance to betray me, you twisted leech. "I came here to see what on the name of G** turned you into such a d****d monster."
Your mind is stronger than this. Listen to me.
Ami looked around. "Kad! Get me outta here!"
Something had her hand. She turned to her left-- and there he was, smirking at Vi. "My poor, lesser sister," he taunted. "I really expected better from you."
His arm began to glow. A voice-- THE Voice-- echoed loudly through this funhouse of insanity. NO!
Kadaj shook his head sadly. "Oh, dear. It seems Mother is disappointed in me."
A ball of energy erupted from his hand and knocked the padded room door open, blasting Vi out of the way in the process. "Kid, let's go!"
He began to drag Ami out of the cell behind him. Ami didn't speak-- she just ran through this warping, twisting nightmare, knowing Vi would be hard on her heels. "You know the way out?"
Kadaj shrugged, still running. "No. Don't you?"
"No."
"Peachy."
They made a sharp right into a door-- which led into a dark vacuum. They looked at each other, hearing Vi behind them, scrabbling to catch up. "Got a plan, brother?"
"Just one." He took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing."
They jumped into the void... Ami felt the world twisting around here... she was on her way out, but could she make it all the way back...?

Squall lifted her head and scooched underneath her, laying her head in his lap, *strokes her cheek gently and takes her hand again* Please... Dont leave me... not another one... Squalls eyes ran down Amis arm and he looked at Vi's face, a wicked smile crept across it. What the ...?! Squall looked horrified from Vi to Ami, " YOU pregnant dog! I KNEW YOU WERE BAD NEWS!" Squall lifted his leg and brought his heel crashing down onto Vi's head. " Let her go! You let her go!" Squall shouted through gritted teeth. Vi's face remained unchanges, a manic evil was radiating through her smile. " AMI!... Ami," he whispered into her ear, "Im here, Im here like you asked... what should i do?" Squalls voice cracked slightly, Dont go where I cant follow... Squall looked at her face, then slowly leaned over her and kissed her on the lips. You can do this

Vi was flying after them in a rage. Tears flew off of her face, dropping to the ground behind her and turning into puddles of acid. Her hordes of imaginary demons flew with her, giving her wings. And then she saw her sister and her brother leap into the void...
"NOOOO!!!" They couldn't go there.... it was the escape which would turn her into a pitiful comatose worm if she followed. She sunk to her knees, sobbing... the padded room clasped around her with a shocking clap of thunder and she wailed, curling into a fetal ball.
"Lesser... lesser... why? I will be greater..." Rage poured out of her mouth in the form of shadows, which melded together into a silhouette.
"My king!" She bowed before him prostrate. "I have failed... I will not again."
The dark silhouette knelt, slowly and condescendingly, and patted her on the head. His deep voice comforted her. "Princess Iscariot will triumph."

Ami... I'm going back to where I can watch over you... But remember, I'm still here when you need me... You'll always be my Kid.
The hand holding hers released its hold, and Ami drifted through the dark...
She felt arms holding her in a warm embrace, a gentle kiss on her lips. Her eyes opened slowly. She lifted her arm feebly and placed it around Squall's neck, bringing him deeper into the kiss they shared. She wrapped her arms gently around him, and laid her cheek on his. "I love you... I'll never, never leave you." She kissed him once more, to seal her vow. I love you.

A single tear fell from Squalls face, " I thought Id lost you..." Squall looked her in the eyes and smiled. I love you too. He kissed her passionately, all thoughts of the recent events gone, *Breaks kiss and hugs her tightly* Squall caught a glimpse of Vieve laying next to them and came crashing back down to earth " What are we going to do with her?"

Ami's head lolled over to her lost sister. "I'm not sure..." She looked around at the vaporized lab. "Somebody lost his temper, it looks like." She smiled and kept her arms tightly around him. She didn't want to let go. "None of them were my real brothers. I understand that. One of them came to me and saved me from her..." She looked up at him. "I realized then, one of the reasons why I care for you so much. You have something in common with the only other men I ever loved, my brothers... you want to take care of me. They left to help Jenova because they thought, if they did as she asked, they could cure my Geostigma. I don't know what, but she did something to them that changed them." She returned her gaze to Vi. "She is still my sister, but I don't know that we can save her. Her mind has been too damaged... But she is still my responsibility. I have to make sure she won't hurt anyone else. We have to lock her up somewhere... does your airship have a holding cell of some kind?"

As a matter of fact yeah? Squall nodded to her, " We can lock her up on the ship." Squall looked around the room at the devastation hed caused, " Dont look at me its your fault!" Squall hugged her again then staggered to his feet, he nodded, I knew they werent the brothers youd mentioned... I couldnt have killed your brothers. Squall sighed and scratched his head Cant help but feel bad for them though? Squall helped Ami to her feet, " Can you walk?"

"Yeah, I think so." She got up carefully, making sure nothing was broken. She dusted herself off and shook glass shards from her hair. "We'll have to carry her until we get back to Gunmetal. We can load her into the sidecar there."
Ami struggled to lift Vi onto her shoulders. The girl was still limp as a wet dishrag. Ami eyed Reno and Rude coldly, still unconscious on the floor. "Let's get the h**l outta here." She began to lead the way out of the rubble. "Let's not forget, we still have a Calamity to destroy!"
((Back to the Train Station?))

A few minutes later, Rude started to come around. "Ohhh... I'm going to nail that little b***h," he groaned. But the lab was already deserted. "Oh, s**t. They're gone."
He looked around and spotted an unruly red mop amidst the dust and rubble. "Reno! Wake up! Say something, partner!"
Reno groaned as well as he started to regain consciousness. "That's the last time I let something as stupid as my conscience get in the way of a mission." He squinted at Rude. "Dude... you're a mess."
Rude touched his ear, half ripped off. "You may just be right." He helped Rude get up, both staggering a little from their injuries. "And we thought their brothers were psycho."
Reno shook his head. "Women. I shoulda nailed that Ami chick when I had the chance."
Rude did a double take. "You know her name?"
Reno touched the growing bump on his head. That's gonna leave a mark... "Remember that dispatch about seven years back? Those kids in the village?"
Rude blinked. "That was her?"
Reno nodded. "I let her and the brothers get away. You may have noticed, I've got a soft spot for kids. Even after the brothers came back to bite me in the butt, I still didn't learn my lesson. Consider me schooled, friend."
Rude shook his head. "I really can't take you anywhere, you know that?"
Reno sighed and shrugged painfully. "I don't know about you, but now I really do need a drink. Let's go patch ourselves up, eh?"
Rude nodded agreement. They made their way back to the car and headed back to the Inn.
