Ami braked the bike to a stop in the dingy, ill-lit ruins of the Midgar slums. "That metro stop can't be too far... I hope it didn't cave in." She looked for the water tower-- there, just a couple blocks away! Granted, it had seen better days (it was half disintegrated) but she'd recognize that thing anywhere.
I used to live in this neighborhood... h**k, I used to live under the water tower. Right after our "parents" died... those two scientists who finally realized we were only children... We survived out on the street, until the magistrate came along...
Ami shook her head. This is a dangerous place to sink into reveries, girl.
Her eyes jogged. Had she really seen motion behind that crumbling facade, or was she just being jumpy?
She got off the bike and began to push it. "The rubble's getting too dense... we'll have to go on foot the rest of the way." There was that motion again. She was pretty sure she hadn't imagined it this time. "Squall, did you see that?"

Squall stared into the distance as he helped push the bike, " Yeah i saw it..." Squall kept pushing and kept his eyes searching into the distance, " What you think that was?" he whispered, eyes still fixed on where the figure had been. Be on your gaurd

Ami pulled a pistol from her right holster. "There was a mass evacuation of the slums, right after Meteor, when Geostigma started breaking out," Ami whispered, her eyes darting to any suspect shadows or twitches. "Back when they still thought it was contagious. But a few people refused to come--"
"GYEAAAH!!!"
A hideous figure leaped out of an unassuming pile of crumbling brick, covered in dust and rags!
Ami leaped back, letting the bike fall against the crushed remnants of a chainlink fence, and trained her gun on the assailant.
She gasped in horror. Her attacker was nearly covered in black blotches, oozing with putrefaction. Its body was gnarled and twisted, covered in the scars that can be left only by extreme heat.
It gazed menacingly at her and drooled, its mind completely devoured by the horrors it had witnessed. The pitiful creature lunged for her again, and Ami barely managed to sidestep it in time-- bumping into another, equally hideous mutant waiting right behind her.
She looked around in an access of panic. Everywhere were horrific monsters of similar description, emerging form their hidey-holes. "The Survivors," she breathed. "We're surrounded."
She backed up to Squall. "I think... we'd better shoot."

(Updating on previous activity!) Vi hadn't spoken a single word since Ami had implied the dangerousness of the mission. She simply closed her eyes, thinly veiling a glare that wasn't meant for Ami. She had waited until the other two got on the bike, then climbed on without a word, numbly going through the motions, her mind a million miles away. Now she stood with her partners, unleashing her glare at the monsters that surrounded them. "Pitiful vermin," she snarled and spat on the ground. The snarl then vanished and she straightened, a disturbingly smooth voice coming out of her mouth. "Let's kick this thing into overdrive, shall we?" She unsheathed her clawed gauntlets, strode to one of the deformed creatures, and ducked beneath its grab just as it swiped at her. She then stabbed upward into the bottom of his jaw, aiming for the brain...

Ami goggled as Vieve removed the mutant's grey matter. This was a Vieve she had only glimpsed before. At least she's on our side...
Ami began sniping at the nearest mutants, aiming the acid projectiles at their hearts. The weakened bodies of these barely living creatures usually succumbed to the acid's corrosive effects immediately, but one got just a little bit too close and she nailed it in the eye. Black ooze, the discharge that leaked from Geostigma's sores, spattered the cracked pavement. To think these pathetic monstrosities were human once... Avoid that line of thought or you won't be able to keep this up.
The largest one Ami had seen yet-- nearly as tall as the bomb they'd encountered earlier-- loomed out of the shadows, aiming its claw-like fingernails and jagged teeth at Squall. "LOOK OUT!" Ami shouted as a smaller creature made a swipe at her leg, giving her a slight scratch.

Vi grinned and spun around, grabbing one of the smaller ones by the wrist and yanking him towards her, impaling his head with her claws. She leapt around his body, kicking another one in the jaw and effectively breaking his neck. As he came to land, she stabbed it in the chest with both gauntlets- just to be sure. She then cartwheeled over the body on her gauntlets and flung him into the two closest creatures, knocking them down.
Vi let out a horrific battle scream as the effectiveness of the blood on her hands sunk into her psychosis.
She charged the enormous monster near Squall as she heard Ami scream a warning, claws aimed at the side of his head...

Blood entered the sector and looked around for the others. They could be anywhere by now. Then he was jumped by a creature. He spun around and his talon ripped through his skin and into the heart of the monster. More approached. They were'nt monsters, they were mutants. He would have to deal with them quickly if he was going to catch up with the others. "La Magra..." He whispered, "Now feel the power of the blood God". In a few seconds they had all been slain and he was back on his way headed towards the others.

A fire burned in squalls eyes. None of you touch her! He stood motionless for a second as Vieve destroyed one of the creatures, " Not shabby?!" Stop f**king around! " LETS GO!" Squall leapt forward and span 720 infront of one the creatures, chopping its legs off at the knee before hacking off its head. "HEY!" He shouted at one of the monsters, he powered his gunblade upwards in an uppercut sort of fashion, cutting through the ground before rising up and perfectly halfing the monster. " Look out!" squall heard Ami scream from behind him, looking to his left squall spotted a giant one stretching its claws towards him. Squall leapt backwards and brought his gunblade down on his wrist, Wave goodbye to that hand... Oh wait you cant! My bad! Squall twirled his gunblade round on his finger and pointed it at his head. Smile f*g**t! * Bang!*

Ami aimed a pistol right between the eyes of the nearest mutant... which abrupty dropped dead, along with every single other one within a thirty-foot radiu. Those that were left took to their heels in terror, howling in fright. "What the--"
The young "zombie" was approaching them, having just done away with the assailants. She gawked at him. "Did you...?"
No wonder materia messed my brothers up. Looks like it can be a real head trip...
She turned to Squall as the "zombie" came closer. "Thanks for the assist," she said with a smile.

Squall winked at her, " thank you for killing them all," he turned to look at Blood who was slowly walking towards them, who is this dude? He follow us here? Squall shook some of the gunk off of his gunblade and let out a small dissaproving cough, " This goo stinks..." Squall turned to face the opposite way to Ami, " Keeps your eyes open,"

"She's okay," Ami reassured him. "Last time I checked, she was doing a Bass-O-Matic on one of those guy's brains." She got some gauze out of her pocket. "Better get that stuff off your blade-- it stains like crazy."
She gave Blood an appraising look. "So maybe you're okay after all..." She picked up Gunmetal. "Okay, maybe you better come along... but try to keep up, 'coz I hate back-tracking." She resumed her path towards the water tower. "We won't be long now-- the entrance ought to be dead ahead."

" ... Thanks," Squall felt a little like laughing, *scrubs gunblade and throws gauze in among the rubbish around them. Nice and shiny! Squall looked back at blood, slightly dissapointed another person had joined their ranks. Where the challenge now? Squall couldnt help thinking things wouldnt be exactly plain sailing, no matter how many people were there with them. " Ill be glad to get in there. Shinra cant do much worse than those things can they?"

Ami gave him a sharp glance. "Maybe, maybe not."
After a few more moments of walking, they arrived at the shed. A large hunk of sheet metal barred the door. "Shoot," Ami muttered.
She leaned Gunmetal on its kickstand and hooked her hands under the large obstacle, lifting it a foot or so off the ground, and carried it to the shed's broad side, where she carefully set it back down. She dusted off her hands. "Been a while since I did a clean-and-jerk... that one was more like a dirt-and-jerk, though," she grumbled, wiping dust and mud off her jacket.
She yanked the padlock off the door and stepped inside, waiting for Squall to follow her into the, musty dark passage that followed.
