Gdosimirj smiled at Kamen in return. "I think I know the feeling." She hugged her arms about herself in a somewhat nervous gesture, then let out a shaky breath. "I never thought my path would lead me back to Djinnaywaska. I'm glad to be going, I suppose... it's the most beautiful place in the world. But I can already see the eyes of my countrymen. Cold, untrusting. It may be my worst nightmare." She shook off the feeling. "It's all for the best. It would have to have been resolved one way or the other. It isn't logical to avoid my destiny forever."

Ami came out of the bathroom, finally dressed in something comfortable-- black knit pants, brown T-shirt, khaki duster coat. Her black hair was tied back by a white ribbon. She met her sister, who was coming out of their bedroom loaded down by luggage. "Where the h**k do you think you're going with all that mess? Only bring the essentials." Ami dug out a huge hairdryer. "I'm pretty sure you can live without this, for example... you have enough hot air as it is."
Lana stuck out her tongue. "Not all of us ignore personal hygene. How long has it been since you had a shower anyway?"
"None of your business. Now get the junk out of those bags and just keep what you need... bring it back when you're done and I'll put it in my bike."

Reno closed his eyes and exhaled, trying to clear his head and relax for a second before they had to go scrambling after the bad guys again...
He saw something really weird. Out at the cliffs by the Wutai coast, a dark blur was forming... something wearing a hood and cloak like Kidd's stepped out of it and looked around...
His eyes popped open. Please tell me that was a blink dream and not another one of those crazy visions.
He took some deep breaths and counted to ten, not wanting Nikky to realize how agitated he was.

Gdosimirj smiled darkly at Amnesty's sister. "You won't need anything that plugs into a socket in the wall. Electricity is moot in our community."

Lana's jaw dropped. "No electricity? Ami, where are you sending us to live, with the Flintstones?"
Ami clapped a hand over her sister's mouth, which provoked profound opposition from the recipient of this action. "Sorry, Sunset," Ami said shame-facedly. "Lana has a tendency to speak her equivalent of a mind at all times." She shoved her off. "Go PACK!"
"Hey, since when were you my boss?"
"I'm older, remember?"
"By, like, five months. That doesn't count."
"Oh, yes it does... now pack, and I don't mean maybe."
Lana huffed off to their room to revise the contents of her baggage. Ami rolled her eyes. "Little sisters." She turned to Sunset. "I have to admit, though... the more I hear about this idea, the less I like it. No weapons, no electricity... how do you guys really expect to defend yourselves? I mean, the Shinra trash is bound to come looking for you sooner or later. Don't think they won't."

she rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, smiling. ''you're everything to me.... '' she said quietly. she tokk his hand lightly and smiled more.
kamen listened to her words and nodded silently. he looked up at ami with wide eyes. he listened to her and then watched lana walk off. he blinked after her before looking back at then silently. he had nothing really to add... he just hoped that in someway he could be a help and not a burden. but he doubted they would ever trust him, especially reno. they would never trust someone like me... i know i wouldn't. he hugged himself slightly and stared at the floor.

Gdosimirj frowned. "I'm working on my feet. I personally can't think of any place more secluded, but Shin-ra has its ways. My people will not be happy if they realize that we will bring conflict into their existance." She shook her head. "This hiding place will be good, but not for long. I suppose the best plan of action is to keep moving. Once we get there, we will work out the next place to stay, unless you have a better plan."

"Why do you keep asking if I have a better plan? I think it's established... no, I do not." Ami sighed. "Well, better check on Mom and Dad."
Ami knocked on the bedroom door. "We're about set out here... you guys nearly ready?"

He leaned his head on hers with a sigh. "What a coincidence. Seems that works both ways." He grinned as he looked up at the sky-- no clouds in sight. I guess I just need some more sleep... visions. Chosen ones. Yeah, right.

On the coast, the dark figure felt the distant vibrations... and grinned into the eastern breeze.

kamen watched ami with a curious look, he wondered what exactly they were doing and if he was going to be filled in or thrown aside now that he was semi better. he shifted on the wall and winced slightly.

Reno snuggled into her. I could practically pretend I'm a kid in this place... this is like Leave it to Beaver World here. He yawned... it's been a long morning... I'm gonna rest my eyes for a minute... I'm NOT gonna fall asleep... yawn.

Ami's parents emerged. "Yes, I think we're as ready as we're going to be." Stephen looked extremely grim.
Ami smiled and hugged them, hoping to cheer them up a little. "We're heading to Wutai, to stay with Sunset's family... she says it's nice and isolated, like here." She buried her worry and beamed at them, hoping to downplay the danger. "I understnad it's near the coast... you packed your swimgear, right?"
Rude could practically hear the phony cheerfullness a mile away. Don't overdo it, kid...
"Let's load up." Ami grabbed one of the bags and put it on the sidecar. "Hey, Dimitri, can we put some of my parent's stuff on your bike?"

she held him and played with his hair slightly. she smiled and sighed. wow.... never thought i'd be back here....
kamen held his tongue and decided it would be better to stay quiet.

"Not that near to the coast. Not unless you like a three hour hike." Gdosimirj didn't want anybody to underestimate the climate- she wasn't trying to turn anyone off of her village, but getting the wrong idea could mean the difference between life and death.

kamen slinked out of the area and took this time to relax. he walked about, not snooping. he tried not to touch anything as he wandered near the door. he decided to stay in side.... he would raise less suspicions that way.

Ami rolled her eyes as she passed by. "Sunset, you really know how to make people relax, you know that?"
She heaved the stuff into her sidecar with a huff. Now my parents think I'm an idiot, but I guess it's better we know sooner than later...
She went back in to see if her sister was ready and passed Kamen. "Hey, look who's up! How are you doing?" She headed back inside, closding the door and leaving it unlocked for Rude, who was standing on the back porch, watching Nikky and Reno. It had somehow been silently agreed between the two one or the other would be watching those two from now on, at least until her PG-rated family was settled.
Ami's parents watched her strangely. Ami used to be so quiet. Now, she's downright pushy.

Reno never stood a chance. He was out like a light in seconds flat. He sighed in his sleep and pulled his arms tighter around Nikky, snuggling still more into her.

nikky laughed quietly and stroked his hair still. she smiled warmly and just sat there.
kamen watched her and smiled slowly and weakly. ''better i suppose...'' he said quietly as she passed by. he watched her mildly as he tried not to look uncomfortable.
