A strange liquid dripped from the ceiling, as blood appeared from above. Taking a single look at Jenova, he fired a beam of energy straight at it.

Jenova was enjoying this banter. Her next energy ball would be mostly composed of water, so as to extinguish Ifrit and Lutz. She got ready to release it in their direction...
Jenova looked down on the mortals who challenged her. She knew that this was an insignificant, nearly insulting battle compared with what lay ahead. However, she took her precious time with taunting them. If there was one thing she had learned on this planet, it was patience. She turned and began moving slowly in a southwesterly direction...
She spoke in a highly ingratiating manner. "Follow me, if you dare. Your deaths will contribute to my power. I welcome your efforts."

Ami's fists clenched. Kidd's attack isn't working... she's acting like he isn't even there!
She stormed over to Reno and Rude. "These random attacks aren't doing squat! I need tactics!"
Rude stopped firing as the last part of the element ball dissipated. "She's drifting southwest... she's going to Midgar!" Rude roared, firing off a few potshots that never had a chance of hitting their target.
Reno thought for a second. "She's your mom, right? You're how old?"
"Fifteen, but what does that--"
"So if we tell her you're knocked up, she'll keel over. No sweat."
Ami rolled her eyes. "Right now I need virgin jokes like I need a hole in my head."
Reno did a double take. "You're a virgin?"
Ami put her hands on her hips and glared.
He shrugged. "I wasn't when I was fifteen."
"Shut up, Reno," Rude suggested. "Jenova was found sealed in a layer of subsurface strata, apparently trapped there by the Ancients."
"So basically, what we need here is a good cement mixer," Reno put in.
"Shut up, Reno," Ami suggested. "They were able to trap her by communicating with the planet, with the Lifestream itself. We find someone who can do that, and she's half beaten."
"Good luck with that. The last Cetra has been dead for years."
"Shut up, Reno," Ami and Rude said in stereo. Then something dawned in Ami's face... "That Blood kid..."
Rude looked at her. "You don't think..."
Ami glanced at the Final Blade, which had found its way from Blood to her.
It was glowing a brilliant Lifestream green.
Ami looked back at Rude. "What do YOU think?"
He looked from Jenova, to Blood, to the blade. "I think we better give the kid his sword back."
Reno blinked. What WAS it about that sword that kept commanding his attention?
Ami dashed over to Blood. "Hey, I think you forgot this!" He has a tendency to tune people out... I hope to G** he pays attention this time.

Blood grabbed the sword, as the power of the lifestream filled through his veins. The earth began to shake as the ground glowed a bright green. Then a green aura shot out from the ground. All the power of the planet was going into this attack. Blood just hoped it would be enough.

"We got to cover him!" Rude barked, moving further into the open and shooting furiously, hoping the plasma cells would hold out long enough. Each bolt he fired was blocked by another element ball, each on just the right size to nullify the charge. "She's just toying with us-- she could wipe us all out in a split second if she wanted. The only thing to do is play her confidence against her."
"Copy that," Ami agreed, zipping towards the monstrous figure, plowing a furrow in the earth behind her. She realized her attacks would be nothing more than a mere annoyance, but that was all she needed them to be. She flew into the air and bounced herself off Jenova's armor, trying to create a distraction. The impact had next to no effect, but she was only trying to grab a little attention.
She landed herself in a tree and prepared to repeat the process...
Reno was just a little bit at a loss to figure how he fit into this plan. "Distraction... we need a distraction..."
He looked around for something distraction-worthy. Aha... Parts of the car's engine were still intact... the parts which, if wired together properly, could cause one h**l of an explosion...
He got to work, rigging the component peices together. He stood back, took one second to admire his handiwork, and turned the ignition.
He yanked Nikky out of the blast radius. "Hit the dirt!!!"
He took cover as the car's remains obliterated everything within thirty feet of them. If that isn't a head-turner, I don't know what is.
Ami grabbed the tree trunk as it shook with the violence of the explosion. She coiled up for her next attack as the vibrations subsided... Make your move, Blood! We're giving you all we got!

Blood sent the beam of energy spiraling into jenova's head. Hopefully that should work.

Squall staggered along for a while behind the others, then dropped to his knees, exhuasted from his efforts, broken by jenovas attack. Go get her guys... Squall nodded at the group. Heroes

He wouldn't be able to fight it in his condition, but he sent the last of his energy into Bloods blast.

Jenova had finally killed off Ifrit but Lutz was still tossing fire left and right at Jenova. Will this ever end? Lutz summons another flaming tornado to attack Jenova |

Jenova felt something plink against her armor. "MERELY MY WAYWARD DAUGHTER..." She began moving towards the girl in the tree, but stopped and turned when she heard the sound of a massive explosion. Do they dare send the girl as a decoy against me? Fooled again. The explosion drew her attention away from Lutz as he began summoning fire against her. Roaring with anger, she whirled and swatted at him, but missed him by a fraction of an inch. She turned towards Ami and screamed her fury, but all in vain. "NOT AGAIN! I SHALL NOT FALL A SECOND TIME!" She generated another element ball and hurled it...
Ami fingered her necklace, and her brother's voice echoed in her mind for what she knew would be the last time.
It's time to let go, Kid.
I can't.
You will.
I'm not strong enough to stand on my own.
Don't talk like that. I hate false modesty.
Ami sprang from the tree, escaping the element ball that splintered it.
As Lutz summoned the fire tornado, Jenova turned her attention to him. "YOU ARE THE MOST DOGGEDLY PERSISTENT FOOLS I HAVE EVER MET!" Jenova screamed, extinguishing the flame. She began generating another element ball, aiming it at him...
Ami's trajectory carried her straight into Blood's Lifestream attack... and she unleashed the power of her Jenova cells into it. Take back the curse you wished on me.
Ami's hair started darkening to a raven black. Her skin took on a more natural cast. Her eyes faded from radiant green to dark gray. It all happened in seconds, but the moments seemed to freeze in time within Ami's mind.
I'll miss you, Kid.
The combined power of Blood's attack and Ami's release cut through the air at light speed toward's the Calamity's head, preparing to destroy her once and for all...
It slammed full force into her suit of armor, cracking it in two.
Jenova wailed in pain, a wail quickly silenced as the attack transformed her into solid stone, like Medusa of old.
As she finally slipped from our realm forever, the assembly of the extinct Ancients watched her and the sum of her unholy seed fall to death at last.
Jenova cursed them with her last words. "THIS IS... MY WORLD..."
One of them stepped forward. It's as I told you. You know what holds the true power here... and you are not it.
And with that, Jenova and her legacy were once more sealed in stone.

Ami dropped back to earth as the last traces of the attack passed through her and saw Squall wilting.
"Squall...!"
She returned to him. "Are you... Squall, are you going to be all right?" She tried to support him, wrapping her arm's around him.

Blood dropped to his knee's and began panting heavily. That attack had taken a lot out of him.

Akira got to his feet and walked towards Blood. He had never met this boy before, but yet, he felt as though he knew him. Akira moved on to Ami. "...Is it... dead?" He was struggling to stay on his feet, from the pain he was in.

Akira clutched the lionheart necklace around his neck as it glowed again. Akira felt his dark side fighting for control again. He should be fine if he stayed away from the Sins, and didn't get angry, with anyone.
