nikky tried to shake out of it. she shreiked slightly and clung to him, crying... sobbing.
in the fog screams could be heard... they confused people and made it hard to focus.

"Kidd, keep talking," Kadaj instructed. "We're coming."
They finally came across him and Kamryn. "Ami, where are you?" Loz shouted.
A thin voice came out of the mist. "Marco..."
Yazoo rolled his eyes. "Polo..."

"Oh my gosh. Hopefully that was Ami and not Kamen." Kidd was trying to lighten the situation.

"Easy, easy," Reno said, keeping his arms securely around Nikky. "Shh... shh... It's going to be fine. A little mist never hurt anybody... that I know of..."
"Marco!" Ami repeated, trying to be heard above the random shrieks.
"Polo!" Loz echoed.
He bumped right into her. "Ouch!"
"Sorry."
Kadaj did a quick head count. Kidd, Kamryn, Rude, Reno, Nikky, Sunset, Ami... "Is that everyone?"

nikky abruptly stood and bolted into the fog. she searched frantically. ''kamen!!!'' she screamed in anger. her voice shook as did her whole body.
a shadowy figure appeared. he was cloaked... ''nikkole....''
''what do you want?!'' she screamed at him, she couldn't see him... he was moving.
the fog grew into strong winds... it made it even harder.

"Nikky, are you quietly OUT OF YOUR MIND?!" Ami screamed.
"Easy, sister," Kadaj prompted. "We'll find her. Everyone stick together-- hold hands with whoever's next to you."
Reno looked at Rude. Rude looked back.
They spoke in unison. "This does not leave the fort."
The entire group joined hands. Ami took Kadaj's with her right, and offered her left to Kidd and Kamryn.
They moved in the direction Nikky had gone. Reno called out. "Hang on, Nikky, we're coming!"

nikky tried to follow kamen but ended up getting lost. ''SH*T!!'' >< she searched blindly.
kamen wandered about... looking for ways to get them lost.

Kadaj tried to search for her with his mind, but she kept moving and this fog was clouding up his perception...
Reno kept catching glimpses of her. He began to get a little frantic. "Nikky, for the love of G**, hold still!"
"Count to ten, Reno," Ami suggested.
Her eyes jogged... had she really seen a dark figure in the mist, or did she imagine it? "Boys, stay sharp. And everyone, do not let go of anybody else's hand, got it?"

Kidd could hear two sets of footsteps scuttling. "Hey guys! I don't think we're here alone. Nikky! Call out so we can find you!"

kamen let his cloak drop. it stayed up... looking like him. he slinked off.
nikky couldn't hear them... she started to panic.

Yazoo stopped. "Everybody hold on." He raised one of his hands for a few moments as the group came to a standstill.
Two shadowcreepers emerged from the floor.
"Sniff them out," he commanded.
The creepers moved into the dark as Yazoo took Loz's hand again, and the party moved on...

nikky freaked as she paced and searched. tears stung her cheeks...
the cloak swayed... smelling of kamen.
kamen slinked about.

Kadaj felt panic stab into Nikky's mind. "Nikkole, calm down!" If she panics, she's dead. Period.
The shadowcreepers snuffled along the floor. One of them came across Kamen's standing cloak. Angry at being tricked, it ripped the cloak into shreds.
