Gdosimirj could feel the building tension in Reno- that deadly, nearly inestimable stillness just before the strike. But he'd barely had the chance to lunge before Gdosimirj drew her guns and had them pointed at his head. "Don't even breathe, pal," she hissed. "I was hoping I could trust you, but apparently you just wanted to get me out of the way so I wouldn't wake up your little girlfriend. This is bull."

A pair of sword blades landed at Sunset's neck. "No, this is," Ami hissed, absolutely boiling with anger. "You told me I could trust you. And you used my brothers against me to convince me I could believe it. I turn my back for fifteen minutes... and THIS is how you repay my blind, simple, clueless kindness."
Rude, having borrowed Ami's pistols, stood at the ready to cover his partner and his defender. "Don't move, b***h."
Reno was suddenly in the middle of a very well-armed stand off. Oh boy, what have I gotten us into NOW?

Gdosimirj blinked in confusion. Used her brothers...? What is she on about? "Trust me? How can I expect you to trust me when I don't even know who you are?!" She glared over her shoulder at the crazed woman behind her. "Besides, he just attacked me! He's trying to take me back to Shinra..." Something clicked. "Amnesty Lazuli? Is that you? What did you do with your hair?"

Ami shook with rage. "Don't try to mess with my head, you freak!" She pulled her arm back to knock Sunset's block off...
"Whoa, Ami!" Reno interrupted. I'm the one who started this whole confusing fracas... I'd better end it, before it ends me. "Now, hang on... This girl, this Sunny or whatever her name is... first off, she's got two, not one, but two guns pointed at my head, okay? I like my head, I want to keep it, so please don't threaten the woman with the AK-47s. Second off, I think this is all just one big misunderstanding..." He tried to grin apologetically at Sunset, but he could tell right away that wouldn't get him anywhere. "I was kind of under the impression that you... I dunno, were trying to kidnap my girlfriend? I mean, the whole amnesia trick is, like, the oldest one in the book, so naturally I thought you were trying to pull a fast one..."
"Amnesia?" Ami was starting to get it. "Wait. What exactly do you remember?" Her tone stayed harsh and her swords at her enemy's neck, but her eyes were softening...
Rude sighed. "I have the distinct feeling I have missed something fairly significant."

nikky sat up and yawned. she looked down at the cot and smiled faintly... she could see where someone, coughrenocough, had layed there too. she heard them but decided it was best to stay put....

Gdosimirj dropped her guns deliberately and kicked them towards Amnesty. "I know I was supposed to find you. I also know it was a pretty long shot when I came up with the idea. Now, I must have somehow found you, and obviously it was a mistake to do so. I don't know why you're defending Shinra trash like him-" she jerked her head at Reno- "but I think I must be messing with the wrong people here, because people keep telling me things that I don't remember. Some of them don't sound like things I would do. I don't know how long it's been since you people knocked me out or drugged me up or shot me with some memory screw-upping beam, but I think I've had enough of it, so why don't you just let me off of this ship and I'll go my own way."

Reno ducked as the fireballs flew. "S**T!"
Ami signaled Lutz to stop. "Hold on, Lutz. I want some answers here, and we won't get them by frying her alive." She grinned. "Glad to see you survived the goon deluge."
She turned back to Sunset. "Reno isn't Shinra trash. He saved my life, and so did Rude. We haven't done anything to you... but you did something that probably saved us all. You acted as a link between me and my brother, Kadaj. He helped us beat back Kamen the Puppetmaster, but the strength needed to be an avatar must have drained you."
Reno's jaw dropped. Did she just defend me... Kadaj?! Since when was he working for the good guys?
Ami continued. "You went unconscious after her left your body. The interaction must have erased part of your memory. I'm sorry I accused you so hastily... but my trust has been abused by others before." She sheathed her swords and offered a hand to Sunset. "Give it time... time for me to prove my loyalty, and time for you to prove yours."

Ami smiled thinly. "Welcome to the Crazy Folk Trying To Save The World Club."
Reno saw Nikky appear in the hallway, and everything else disappeared instantly. "Nikky!"
He rushed to her and threw his arms around her. "I thought we lost each other for a second there. Don't do that again... you really scared me."
His lips met hers in the most passionate kiss in recorded history.

she blinked and was going to wave before being hugged. o.o
her eyes got bigger as he kissed her.... she kissed him back with equal passion and linked her hand in his. her hand was still cold, but she was warmer and looked more lively now.

Gdosimirj raised her eyebrows at the couple. The image of the pink suit with hearts came back to her. Of course. It makes so much sense. He's in love, and it's all over him. She looked oddly at Nikky. But I don't know about her... maybe it's her situation that the cloak implied, or maybe it's her... too soon to interpret that dream.
She snapped out of her odd gaze, realizing she was staring. "Oh... I'd love to join," she grinned. "I spent enough time trying to destroy the world, it's time to take some of that karma back."

Ami coughed. "Eh, guys? WHat say we give these two a little, eh, space?"
She prompted everyone else to move it out. "It's high time we all got a little rest, anyway... we'll need it for when the kook comes back."
She turned to Lutz and spoke in a low, urgent voice. "Have you seen Squall since the fight started? I know he can handle himself... but I'm starting to worry... a lot." If Lutz hasn't seen him, I'm going out to look for him.

Rude looked back at his partner, still liplocked with Nikky. He couldn't help manifesting a smile at the sight... just a little one.
It's about time. Reno, I always knew you'd find the right girl someday... and yeah, you got my blessing.
He caught Sunset. "Ami tells me you have some questions for me."

Reno was totally lost. I've got you back with me, and I'll be d**ned if anybody tries to take you again. He moved his free hand to her face and down her neck, wanting to memorize her feel. She's still so cold... He pressed against her, trying to give her some of his warmth. Their lips parted for a moment. "I love you," he whispered. "I know I do." He rejoined their kiss, hoping it wold never stop.
