They don't mean me-- at least I'm assuming they don't. They don't LOOK like Shinra trash, anyway, and nobody else WOULD be gunning for me. Which means they want Nikky.

Ami blinked. No way could he be talking about Nikky. I know next to zip about her, but I've seen evil like that, and she hasn't got it.
Ami shook her head and laughed. "Look, I think you got the wrong spaceship, fella. Check your Yellow Pages." This is BS-ery that would make my brothers proud. But all the same, I wish he'd get down to business already.

Ami lost all patience with this screwball. Enough ring-around-the-rosies. "And you know not who is protecting, sunshine," she retorted. "I've plowed through three suits at least ten times bigger than you in the last twenty-four hours alone, and it just so happens that I find myself playing bodyguard to this kid you've got a hard-on for. nikky was still freaking. they don't know who kamen is.... they don't know what he did... what he made me do.... please be careful you guys....
kamen looked to the others before sinking back. they drew their weapons and stayed at the ready. they glowed with a strange energy.
kamen merely watched with a blank expressionless stare.

Ami had to admit, she was slightly surprised to find her opponents had flourescent weapons. "I'll take that as a 'bring it'," Ami concluded before barreling at the gang, the Tears of Heaven "crying" like a red-headed stepchild at K-Mart.

Reno was out the hatch and swinging his EMR before Rude even looked up from his watch. Rude calmly straightened his tie before following his partner into the fray, blasting anybody who happened to look like they deserved it.

as soon as one went down, another took its place. the attacked with calm malice, not caring if they died. kamen leaned against the car. he watched from under his hood.
their hoods never fell, it was as if that was their head. only a jaw and twisted lips showed from under the pitch black hoods.
kamen looked extremely calm, he watched the fight.... it was as if he controlled them. like a puppet master....

"What in burning h**l is WITH these guys?! At least the cult creeps stayed dead!" Reno yelled, smacking down Kamen's goons one after the other.
Rude and Ami nodded agreement. Between roundhouse kicks, Reno noticed that one person involved in this battle was not taking any active role... Kamen himself. What is up with him?
Rude locked the trigger into its first-trigger setting. He pulled back and braced himself.
A beam of white light stabbed out of the shaft, physically knocking a row of the goons to the side like a set of ninepins.
Ami and Reno gave Rude a look that approximated their surprise at this development. He patted the shaft with satisfaction. "Electronic battering ram," he explained.
They nodded comprehension. Ami got back into brawling with the goons as Reno made a beeline for the kingpin. "Hey, Geppetto! Leave Nikky alone!"
Rude followed Reno, realizing his brash junior partner had no idea what he was getting himself into. Hope Ami can take care of herself for now... she's on her own.

the goons kept going after ami. they paid no heed to reno or rude...
kamen ignored them until he heard them. he looked over and they stopped dead in their tracks. the floated slightly like puppets on a string and dangled. he made no move to attack them though, still controlling the others.
there was a shot, kamen flinched slightly as his hood fell back and revealed his long hair and cold red eyes. he remained emotionless but turned to see nikky. he grinned with thin lips azt her.
she panted with rage, still holding up the gun. blood seeped down kamens ear and temple. there was a bit of electricity before kamen laughed, a chill cold laugh.
nikky stayed put, her arm starting to shake. her knees looked about ready to give out.
the goonies kept attacking, oblivious.

Ami felt like she was drowning in goons. I have to run on my own steam... and I haven't got much steam left to run on. She hit, kicked, punched, lunged, went absolutely hog-wild to keep herself from going under, but she knew she was in trouble... the creeps just kept on coming...
Reno struggled, but it wasn't much use... he was dangling in midair, unable to move very far in any useful direction. "Nikky, run!" He turned to Kamen. "Don't touch her, you son of a b***h!" He swung wildly and accomplished zip.
Rude lifted the Sacrifice and fired on Kamen with its second setting. I'll melt your d**n face off...

Gdosimirj rode into the battle scene with grim determination. It's obvious who's side I should be on. Maybe my contribution to the battle will earn points with Reno and Rude... She hopped off her chocobo, whispering to it and patting it on the back. It scampered away.
She pulled her maching guns out of her belt and began firing at the goons, walking towards them at a steady pace.

Several of the goons surrounding Ami dropped dead, thanks to SUnset's intervention. She cheered, her prospects of making it out of this battle alive suddenly improved infinitely. "Sunset! Let's bust these mothers!" She let one of them have a taste of her very own specialty knuckle sandwich. She kissed the chain around her fist as the creep went down. We'll always fight together, brothers.

the goonies went after sunset and lessened on ami. the swarmed now, like bees.
nikky made eye contact with kamen and froze, unable to move.
kamen looked right at her as he spoke to reno and rude.... ''the more you struggle....'' a tightening grip formed around them, it would have crushed the air out of their lungs. ''the tighter my hold gets...''
nikky tried to pull her self free of his mental grasp. she started flailing and screaming. she was helplessly fighting, she shot at him again, it hit.... but it looked to have no effect on him. yes he bled but his face was stone and his body unmoved. this only made her worse.

Gdosimirj gasped, realizing she'd just drawn a great deal more attention than she wanted to. She continued firing on them, but there were more goons than there were bullets in her gun. She yelled for cover- "RUDE!" -as she danced away from them, reloading her gun as fast as possible.
