ahh yes the dream, why such the long rest? it was like someone or something wanted me to see those visions...
Lutz came to and saw the figure getting away. He grinned.
Lutz: "No ya don't!"
He formed a huge fire wall right infront of the man to slow his escape.

Ami slashed through some foliage through which Axel had disappeared. She could see broken branches and made a move to follow the trail he left...
Too late she felt a tug against her leg, and barely dropped to the ground in time...
ZIPZIPZIP!!!
Three arrows hit a tree right behind where her head had been. Another one of the Sunset clan's booby traps. How did this Axel guy not set it off?
She heard Reno thrashing around ahead of her. For that matter... how did HE not set it off?

Reno looked around, in the midst of some seriously thick shrubbery. D**n... he could be anywhere...
He felt a leather-gloved hand grab his wrist from behind. "Hey!"
He spun and took a shot at Axel, but Axel merely ducked. Reno felt something weird happening with his hand... "What the h**l..."
Axel looked like her was dissolving into him. "A little parting gift..."
Reno tried to move, but he felt like his feet were bolted to the dirt... he got dizzy... Everything was going blurry...
Ami slashed through the trees in the nick of time, her blades nearly taking Axel's arm off. He glanced at her and recognition flashed in his eyes. "A Remnant...?"
He let Reno go and disappeared in the shadows of the forest.
Ami might have chased him further, but she didn't want to get out of earshot of the group... she looked to her left and saw Reno crumpled on the forest floor, shaking and barely conscious. "Reno...?" She paled. "Guys! Get in here! We need help!"

Dimitri bounded through the foilage a moment later and saw Reno on the ground in Ami's arms. He swore at himself in his mind and checked the surroundings to make sure they were not about to be attacked again, then he called for the others.

Lutz's fists burst into flames and he dashed over to Ami. He landed near Ami and howled.
Lutz: "What seems to be the problem here Ami...someone troubling you?....."

Ami gave Lutz a look. "Reno has gone epileptic on us... and you have to ASK if something is troubling me?"
Rude came crashing through the trees, the Sacrifice snagging on branches as he went. He cursed profoundly to himself as he tried to disentangle himself, keeping an eye peeled for any suspicious movements in the trees... He saw his partner collapsed and shaking in Ami's arms, and the irony was too great to escape him.
He approached, for once unable to think of what to do.
Reno's eyes were wide open, but they were obviously not looking at anything in front of him... they kept darting around, as if he was watching a fly hovering by the ceiling...
Rude knew only one thing could yank him out of this. "Get Nikky."

Dimitri looked at the newcomer and raised one eyebrow. He'd never met this one before. He looked at Rude and nodded in agreement.
"We need go move fast and get to Nikky before this Axel fellow does..." He said, then turned to Lutz and Ami.
"You need to get Reno to the village as fast as possible"

something was happening beyond Lutz's knowing and he didn't know how serious it was.
If I wasn't lost within that damn dream I wouldn't have been so unsesitive to Ami....
Lutz looked at the new man, he glance quickly at his gun blade and the looked away.
Another gun blade wielder huh...reminds me I wonder what happened to squall.
Lutz: "Well what is it we need to do....find Reno or Nikky?"

"The Village is still hours from here. We'll have to take him back to the ship... it's closer," Ami insisted. "Rude, help me here."
Rude helped her start carrying him back. "Watch his head."

Axel was peering through the trees at Nikky, trying to gauge the best time to surge forward and snatch her away...
Rude and Ami passed carrying Reno between them, the others following. He sighed unhappily. Not anytime in the near future, apparently.
He hung back and followed from a safe distance...

They got back to the Ragnorak and laid him out on a cot in one of the cabins. He was still shaking violently. "I'll have to restrain him... we can't risk him injuring himself further," Rude explained. He looked at his convulsing comrade. "Don't give up on us now." His stoic exterior was still intact, but inside he was gut-scared...
Ami nodded. "Everybody out, give us some room..."
She caught Nikky by the arm. "Not you. Stay here... Reno needs your help..." She pulled her back into the cabin.

Dimitri stood right outside the cabin door, blocking it completely, he wasnt about to fail twice today.

Ami could see this was absolutely terrifying for poor Nikky. She was shaking practically as hard as Reno was, out of sheer terror.
"He needs to know you're here," Ami broke in. Nikky jumped at the sound of her voice. Ami suppressed a sigh. "Look at him, Nikky. He's still in there... he's just lost. You've got to show him the way back out."
Nikky blinked. "I don't know how..."
Ami reached out her left hand to Nikky, and took Reno's with her right. "Just take him by the hand and lead the way."
She joined their hands together and stood back. Nikky's eyes grew wide as the shaking subsided, and his breathing became more regular...
Ami sighed with relief. Even Rude seemed to relax slightly.
Reno lay still and blinked a couple of times. "What in the name of..."

Lutz stayed close to the group and kept a watchful eye out for any kind of Ambush with fire still blazing in his hands.
No way I am letting anyone hurt my friends....

Axel kept peering at the Ragnorak from a concealed lookout spot. He snorted at Lutz, standing at the exit hatch. Gotta find a way to get rid of the Wolfman there...

Reno turned his head to the side and saw Nikky there, holding his hand. "Hey, babe..." he said, his voice just a little hoarse. He coughed weakly. "Looks like my double has some hard core psychadelia issues, yo..." He noticed she seemed spooked. "You OK?"
Ami smiled. HE is asking is SHE is OK? He's got no idea what just happened to him, does he?

Something out there doesn't smell right...a villian...
Lutz howled into the sky waiting....

Axel kept his trap shut. Under other circumstances, he might have yelled taunts back or thrown his voice to confuse him, but this particular conflict was a bit too vital to him to fart around with histronics. If he comes looking for me, though...
He pulled out his remaining staffs and looked at them. I'll be ready.
He started contemplating his Other. A bit thingy, like myself. But he seems a bit more centered on others, and even derives happiness from them... what the h**k is THAT about?
Hmm... that may just be the key weakness I need to overthrow him...
