nikky raised a brow at him before tearing her sleave and looking at it. she held her breath as she touched it lightly. ''its still in there...'' she swayed slightly and swallowed. ''its gonna hurt.... isn't it?''

Reno watched Dimitri tending to Nikky, too tired to intervene this time... using the Lifestream's power so much was starting to wear on him again... he started looking around. "Hey, where's Rude? And where'd Ami go?"

Rude grabbed Ami by the arm. She screamed and nearly took his head off with her Dragon's Teeth before turning around to realize who he was. "Oh, thank G** it's you... she got me lost in here and..."
"No time to explain... come on, Ami, we got to go now!"
Most Shinra labs are laid out very similarly, Rude thought to himself. Just a little further to the nearest exit...

Xima got inside the copter, carrying her child. She glared at Rufus along the way but managed to rein herself in... Just wait... wait for us to take off... THEN kill him. She stood near the entrance of the chopper anticipatingly...

kamen lent his last energy to reno before he collapsed slightly against the wall. he took deep breathes as he made sure reno was back to normal.

Reno noticed Kamen collapsing and went to him, combating his instincts... "Whoa, whoa, Snowball, easy does it..." He supported the faltering sorcerer. "Easy does it..." He started trying to pump a little healing energy into him, but his strength wasn't substantial enough right now to get more than a trickle... "You OK, kid?"

kamen swayed and stumbled, unable to really stand. he tried to look at reno and say something but he just collapsed again. he had used up almost all of the energy in his body and had none to use for himself, he could barely do anything and felt him slip of into unconscienceness. he had a few minor cuts and bruises but nothing big as he flopped into renos arms, passing out.
nikky looked over but stayed put. she bit her lip.

Dimitri looked at her and nodded.
"Yeah, its gonna hurt." He said, carefully sliding tweezers into the bullet wound. "I'm gonna pull the bullet out on three.... 1.... 2...." That was as far as he went tho, in one swift motion he yanked the bullet out.

Rufus let them into the chopper, then slammed the door shut and signalled the pilot to take off. The chopper zoomed up into the sky and sped away from the laboratory.

nikky was jerked back to reality by the sharp but quick pain. she swore and chewed her cheek. ''if you weren't i friend i would have killed you....'' she said with clenched teeth as she got over the pain.

Reno was shocked to see Kamen collapse on him... It's taking all he has to keep me alive...
He started dragging the boy to the nearest cot for a lie-down.

Ami and Rude charged out of the lab, just as the time dial wound down to six... Ami slowed, but Rude kept charging forward, with Ami's wrist still in his grip... She didn't understand until she heard his cell phone buzzing...
They leapt inside the Ragnorak's sliced-open hatch and waited for the explosion to come...
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Rude roared.

Xima observed Rufus climbing into the copter and turned away. She looked out a viewport instead, watching coldly as the Ragnorak shrank in the distance, holding her son up to see it with her. "They'll see our vengeance some other time, dear," she consoled him. "You performed wonderfully."
Fruxas nodded... He didn't know what vengeance was yet, but he knew it had to be important for his mother to like it so much. He beamed at her compliments.
She put him down. "Go strap in, sweetie."
Fruxas scampered off to the nearest vacant seat and waited for his mother to fasten the safety belt for him. She nodded approvingly as he cinched it up, and then... she turned to Rufus.
She gave him a powerful, resounding slap that left four distinct claw marks on his face and knocked him flat. "You lying b*****d!" Xima shouted at him.
Fruxas watched quietly. Mother and Father are fighting again...
"I expected you'd turn your back on me eventually... but within five minutes of closing the deal... that is just plain crass!" She stood over him and drew the Evil Twin. "You have twenty seconds to beg for mercy, and that you are granted merely for my amusement!"

Rufus glared furiously at her and resisted the urge to strike her back, he touched the cuts on his face and arched an eyebrow.
"Would you mind telling me WHAT THE HELL YOUR TALKING ABOUT, before you act like a monkey on some kind of illegal steroid!?" He shouted.

kamen was out, his whole body as limp as a worm. he was soundless and at first glance didn't even look to be breathing. his whole essence focused on conserving energy. he was so relieved that reno was taking him somewhere he could rest and wasn't angry... so far. he tried not probe or do anything as his body remained cold and corpse-like.

She glared at him with immense hatred, her fists clenched and her chest heaving with suppressed rage.
"Oh, don't play stupid with me... I suppose it was merely coincidence that TWO Shinra helicopters happened to descend upon me JUST as I attacked Miss Amnesty and her little friends?!" She paced angrily. "If you expect me to believe that, you are not only a fool... you are spectacularly obtuse!"
She shook with the buildup of pure fury boiling inside her as she continued pacing. "It would seem you have overestimated the power of your goons once again, Rufus Shin--"

Rufus suddenly grabbed her, pulled her into him and kissed her deeply. More to silence her than anything else. He then looked at her and held up the detonator.
"Shut up and enjoy a victory for us..." He said, releasing the trigger.
Right as he did, there was a huge explosion behind them and a moment later the sonic boom sent a shudder through the chopper as Rufus kissed her again.

Her eyes were wide open as he first contacted her... she was unwilling to believe, and trust was out of the question... but, if this was the way he intended to decieve her, then...
She first took halting gasps of air, and then began to breathe harder as her deeper instincts took over... She leaned into him, her lust and ill-begotten passion racing through her tainted veins... her mouth was hungry, and she would feed from him all that she pleased... she took hold on him, her hands securely clasping his shoulders... Her eyes slid closed as she returned the kiss, panting for more, the chemical reaction consuming her nerves... she felt fire between them as her body writhed against his... Our struggle continues... who will be the one to surrender first?
Fruxas dropped his eyes to his lap, cleaning the joints of his toy again, removing drops of blood and wood splinters with a tiny black lint cloth... I mustn't leave my toy dirty, or Mother will be angry again... I am happy when she is happy with me, and afraid when she is not... He tilted his head curiously. Most people are like me that way... but not my father. He shrugged. My father is a very peculiar man in many ways. He went back to his cleaning.

Reno looked at the kid as he somehow pulled him onto a cot, feeling very ambiguous all of a sudden. If these are lengths he's willing to go to get a friend... geez.
The kid was freezing, but he didn't know how to--
*BOOM!!!*
An enormous explosion rocked the ship and everyone in it. Reno ducked and covered, waiting to see if there would be more...
The dust settled. Ami dared to raise her head and found Rude doing the same. They peered out to see the entire makeshift cloning facility pulverized.
Ami paled. "Whoa, s**t..."

kamen jerked and flopped but otherwise remained the same. his hair limped over his face and his thin hands stayed frozen in place almost.
nikky jerked and stumbled. she swore again, hitting her arm on something before clenching her teeth and glaring at nothing. she muttered a string of curses.
