Kamen nodded and followed him back to the shelter. He looked at Ami and then at Kadaj. He shook his head slightly, laughing a little in his head and taking a little note. He took a note on the one about Ami too. He would always stay on her good side if at all possible....
As he was talking, Kamen had found a corner and had curled up slightly out of habit. He caught the last part and his eyes flicked over to him in a curious look. He saw the smile and returned it. Good night, Yazoo... Itwas still awkward for him to see them all as family... but he was getting close... He yawned a little before falling asleep....

When Ami woke up, just before dawn the next morning, she was slightly confused to spot Kamen asleep in the shelter with her and her brothers. Funny... maybe his tent fell down last night. She poked him gently. "K? Yo..."
Yazoo stirred slightly but pretended to still be sleeping... When she finds out about this, she'll kill me.

Reno woke up the next morning to find himself outside in the woods somewhere... lying next to Nikky with an arm draped over her. Whoa... hold up. He shook his head, which was now killing him. Geez, what did I have to drink last night...
Then it started coming back to him.
Waitaminnit... did we actually...
His mind cleared.
We did. I don't believe it.
He realized he was grinning like an idiot.

Kamen swatted at her hand lightly, muttering something incoherent. After a minute or so and stretched and shifted a bit, yawing slightly and rubbing his eyes sleepily. He opened them and looked at her curiously. "... Oh... good morning Ami..." He managed a sleepy smile for her... His brain not thinking about last night and how it would affect today as he sat up slowly.
Nikky stirred a bit and snuggled him as she slept. She was having peaceful dreams about nothing as she cuddled against him, oblivious to him being awake.

Ami started in shock when she caught a glimpse of how his eyes had change. She said a few rather obscene words Yazoo had never realized she knew, just before dragging him outside. "Don't try and pretend you're sleeping, you bum. WE TALK NOW."
She shoved him out and dragged him into the forest. "You spiked him! Are you crazy?!" Ami yelled. She began to thump him on the chest to punctuate her sentences. "We're WANTED in the other world! They want to KILL us, carve out our GUTS, and STRING them across the cosmos! And now you've dragged Kamen into it, too?!"
Yazoo waited for her to stop ranting. "Misery loves company."
She hauled off and tried to punch him, but he caught her fist a fraction of an inch from his face. "Ami," he continued calmly, "we were all drunk. It seemed like a good idea at the time."
She yanked her hand away and got into his face. "You're hopeless! You're all degenerate reprobates!" She spun around and started stalking off.
He caught her shoulder to stop her. "I thought that was why you liked us."
She paused... and shook her head, grinning. "Geez. I can't take you three anywhere." She turned back to him. "Unfortunately, he's strictly your problem. I'm going with Vincent when we return to the other world today."
"Going...?" Yazoo didn't understand. "Going where?"
"I don't know," Ami shrugged. "He said there was something he had to show me. Something about me learning the truth or whatever. He wouldn't stop bothering me until I said I'd come, so I'm going."
Yazoo was quiet for a moment. "I don't want you alone with him."
"He's not going to do anything to me, Yazoo."
"I know... but I don't think he can protect you."
Ami smiled. She put a hand on his shoulder reassuringly. "He can. He did. I'll be safe with him."
Yazoo sighed. She didn't know... she couldn't know...
She hugged him. "I appreciate the concern. It'll be OK, I promise."
Yazoo hugged her back. "G**, I hope no one is watching."

Kadaj, in the shelter, finally started to uncrumple himself from the heap he'd been lying in all night. "Oh, G**, my head..." He looked over and noticed Kamen waking up. His memories of the previous night were a bit fuzzy... he didn't remember even coming back to the shelter, much less allowing Kamen to stay the night over... "Hey..."

Reno let himself be snuggled, snuggling her back. Geez... she was so hot last night... I've got to know that wasn't all some drunken half-asleep erotic fantasy. It was just plain too good to be true. "Hey, Nikky... wake up..." He buried his face in her hair, breathing it in, holding her closer.

Kamen watched them leave with a blank, lost expression. He had a feeling something went wrong... He looked over at Kadaj as he woke up. He ran a hand through his hair and yawned slightly. "Hey..." He shook out the last bit of sleep before looking back over with a slight smile. "Sleep well...?" He asked, head tilting a bit to the side, mako eyes wide.
Nikky grumbled a bit. "Wha...?? I'm sleeping..." She mumbled softly, slowly coming out of her dream. She heard his voice and let her eyes flutter open sleepily. Her brain took a few minutes to identify him, by then she had smiled. "Morning..." She looked around. "I think...??"

"Yeah, it is," he confirmed for her, nuzzling his face into her neck. "Nikky, this is gonna sound like a really weird question... you might laugh at me, even, but that's OK, because I've seriously got to know... did we do what I think we did?" He kissed her neck and shoulder tenderly, pausing in between for words. "I really hope so, because if we did, it was really great... and if we didn't, then we are lying out here in the woods with next to no clothes on for no good reason."

Kadaj blinked slowly as he observed the color change in Kamen's eyes. "Oh h**l," he muttered. "I'm still seeing things." He flopped back over onto the floor of the shelter. "Wake me up when the hangover fairy stops smacking me in the head."

Nikky blinked away the sleep and looked at him before grinning and sitting up a bit. "What? Sleep through it, did you?" She teased slightly before leaning down and kissing him tenderly. "We did do what you think we did, Reno..." She said lightly before reaching over and grabbing her shirt. "And now if you'll exuse me..." She grinned. "I need to find and put on my clothes." She laughed a bit.
Kamen blinked slowly, confused. "Um... okay." He made a face, he had heard hangovers were bad... and that was probably the headache he felt and the slight dizziness... but he had never heard that terminology before. He stood silently and stretched his aching muscles. He had mentally swore off alcohol for a long time, this sort of thing could have been prevented.
He opened his eyes and looked around curiously. Last night he hadn't really paid attention... but there wasn't much else to do....

Yazoo and Ami returned a few moments later to find Kamen looking around blankly. "Morning," Ami said a bit more brightly. "Sorry about a few minutes ago... but apparently I wasn't in on my brothers' little prank." She shot a collective glare at them, even though Loz still appeared to be sleeping.
"Don't look at me," Yazoo added. "Kadaj is the one who actually did it."
Kadaj sat bolt upright and pegged a pillow at his face. "Traitor!"
Ami immediately tackled him, yelling at him with a giggling voice. "You crazy lush!"
"Hey!" He started fighting back, but was laughing too hard to actually do anything useful...

Reno caught Nikky before she could clothe herself. "Hang on, now... I didn't sleep through a minute." He pulled her back to him, an arm around her waist, holding her against him. "The only reason I doubted it for a second... was because you were totally unreal." He kissed her deeply, caressing her neck and face.

Kamen blinked before laughing slightly at them. He understood now why she could have been angry, which made him a little more comfortable. He watched them play and smiled to himself. I might actually get along with these people.... He thought to himself as he watched them from where he was standing.
Nikky laughed before looking at him, still grinning though. "I know baby..." She kissed him back fully before breaking it off to finish. "Thats why you love me...." She kissed him again. "But I just like to give you a hard time... you should be used to it by now!" ^.^

Kadaj finally pinned his sister. "237 out of 238. And I still say you cheated that one time."
"Yeah, right," she replied sarcastically. "You're just a sore loser."
Yazoo nudged Kamen. Of course you will. It's in your blood, now.
Suddenly everyone in the tent was knocked off their feet... Loz had just yanked the tarp that made the shelter's floor, sending them all off balance. "Battle royale!" Loz announced, sending the entire shelter into a frenzy, which he launched himself into gleefully.

He kissed back, completely intoxicated by his wife-to-be... "I know," he replied in a low voice, embracing her lovingly. "I'm kinda getting the hang of it." He stroked her hair gently, wanting to just stay there and hold her like this always...

Kamen jumped slightly and looked at him quickly. He calmed and sighed when it was only Yazoo. He shook his head slightly. I'm never going to get used to this... He laughed a bit, not used to people so freely reading his thoughts.... at least not in a good way.
As the floor went out from under him, he had barely any time to make the fall less painful. He saw this was some sort of game and joined in.....
She smiled and curled up against him, enjoying the closeness and the warmth. She nuzzled his neck slightly and layed her head on his shoulder. "I love you..." She said softly, closing her eyes as he stroked her hair.

Ami started trying to crawl out of the shelter on her elbows, laughing uncontrollably the whole way. Loz noticed her and grabbed her ankle at the last second, yanking her back in. "Cheater!" he accused.
"Me, cheat?! Slander! I complain of you, sir!" Ami shoved back at him roughly, grinning madly.
Kadaj noticed Kamen wasn't getting it. "The first person to stand back up wins--" He managed only to explain that much before Yazoo tackled him.

Reno closed his eyes, feeling her lean on him... so close he could almost feel her pulse... so soft and smooth and warm... "I love you, too." He kissed her neck, tightening his arm around her, allowing the other to slide over her shoulders...

Kamen had almost a petrified look. He hated rough housing... because somehow he always got hurt of stuck in the middle. XD But he figured if he won he might be able to duck past all that and save himself a tossle. He looked around before crawling a bit and then moving to get up...
Nikky took a deep breath and let it out in almost a small sigh. But it was a happy sigh. She snuggled against him, taking in this time they probably wouldn't get too often. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him without moving too much. She could think of so many things to say... but stayed silent as not to ruin the moment....

"Not so fast!" There were at least three hands yanking Kamen back into the fray as he tried to crawl clear. Under normal circumstances he might have gotten beyond the tussle unnoticed, but next to nothing normal was going on that morning.
The boys were managing successfully to keep each other from rising, but somehow managing to do this without hurting each other. It was like watching a litter of wolf pups playing... young predators rough housing, bonding together, practicing for hunts to come in the future.
In a way, one could have called it a war game.
Loz made a bid to get up, even with both Ami and Kadaj trying to keep him pinned down... he started to push himself up with both of them still hanging onto his back... Yazoo finally intervened by knocking one of his arms out from under him, and the battle continued unabated.

Reno didn't feel much like moving, either... he probably could have stayed there all day, just holding her like this... it felt even better now that he was sober and had full faculty of his nerves. As much as he felt like giving it another try under said circumstances, he could not escape the notion that lightning would surely not strike twice, and if he made another attempt, he and Nikky would be caught in the act for sure. Though why it was something to avoid getting caught in so feverishly escaped him... she WAS his fiancee, right? He figured it had to be some engrained behavioral remains of his days under Shinra's thumb, during which any similar encounters were strictly clandestine, for various reasons.
He snuggled back and held her tight, smiling to himself... Face it, tiger, you just hit the jackpot. He knew they had to move sometimes, but he'd always had a natural talent in practicing the art of procrastination.

Kamen made a muffled noise as he was yanked back. D@mmit. Caught. He decided it was best to not try and get up again, so he focused on making sure none of them got up. In a way he could think this was fun.... in a strange way....
Nikky snuggled a while longer before moving and looking at him. Her hair was a mess and she still looked rather tired.... but she had run off less sleep before. She ran her hands over his cheeks and lips, smiling. "As much as I would like to stay here forever... we're both naked and its now daytime..." She laughed a little and kissed him lightly. "We should get dressed and head back before someone finds us like this..."
