"Hm." She sat back and thought about it. "Kuro, how many bombs you got on you?" The mute boy held up six fingers, she nodded. "Alright... we can set up traps on our way, leaving only one way out, the back way, for us. If Iz just happens to get wated faster then she thought, she will be in for a slight surprise..." She paused. "As for the structure of this building... the house is fairly old, leaving us with little room to blow it up too much. The underground part is new and sound, giving us room to work with it. As long as we don't wreck the place too bad... it should be fine." I think. This is coming from a drunk man... who only wanted to get somewhere else. She sighed on the inside. Lets hope this works... we don't have enough fire power or strength in numbers to be too risky.

Yazoo could sense her hesitation, but he knew still less about what they were heading into than she did. He had no choice but to follow along with her advisements. "Very well. Shall we proceed, then?" He feigned boredom and leaned against a wall, still eyeing the blueprints. "Either way we'll have to wrap this up quickly. I still have to take my motorcycle back to Junon by ten tomorrow." Focus. Focus. He had all but numbed his earlier rash emotions by now, but a few smothered bursts struggled for expression...

She nodded and stood, leaving her items on the floor still. She'd come back to get them. "Lets get going then." She glanced over to him before walking out, tailed by the other two. She felt awkward now, seeing the change in him... but said nothing because she felt it would sound naive....
She jumped in the drivers seat of the truck and started it up, waiting for the others.

Yazoo climbed into the passenger seat of the truck and stared straight ahead, all business as before. He felt the need to address the change in him... "I read emotions, you must realize. I sense confusion. And some awkwardness. Care to explain before the others catch up?"

Fituna glanced over, smiling a bit. "I'm only awkward because of your change, I guess." Her voice held an unreadable tone, it wasn't harsh or soft. She looked back ahead and checked the gas. "Its nothing to fret about though." She added, softer. She didn't want to rush her questions so she didn't ask them, silently wishing the other two could hurry up.
Jeremy purposely slowed, kicking a few rocks into the truck tire. Fituna and the new guy have been acting weird. Wonder whats up. He went around and opened the door, crawling into the back, Kuro behind.

Yaoo's eyes hardened as he kept looking ahead. "I don't know what you're talking about," he replied calmly. "I can't recall the last time I diverged from this kind of behavior." He paused. "Though I am told I can act strangely when under... negative influences." He delivered the sentence with a penultimate degree of finality. What happened back there no longer exists. It never was. He took a deep breath and realized his fists were clenched on the arm rests. He loosened them.

Fituna refused to let his words get to her as she revved the engine and drove off onto the road, heading South. Her driving was a little faster and sharper then it was before and she had a look of sheer determination. This will all be over once this guys dead on the ground. She thought almost bitterly.
Jeremy sighed and kicked back. This was going to be a long drive....

Yazoo felt the sting of his words in her, and for the briefest flash of a moment, rationale crumbled... he wanted to pull the car over, reach out to her, hold her close... He glanced at her face and stiffened with anger at himself. D**n you. This is all your d**ned fault. You came here KNOWING this was going to happen, you reprobate b*****d. Well, it's time to be a man now and take what's coming to you. Don't even think about leading her on again. You know you can never love her. You're a curse on this world. If she curses you from the depths of her soul it's less than what you deserve.
Firmly berated, he set his sights on the road again. I haven't scolded myself like that since I was thirteen. And that was over a girl, too. I never even knew her name. I tried to smooth her into being my first, just because I liked the looks of her. At the last minute I came to my senses and left without a word. She always blamed herself... I never had the courage to explain.
Logic reasserted itself at last, burying the memory and the remorse. His inner struggle was silenced by the concrete pillars that framed his life. Logic, loyalty, discipline, control. It was safe in those borders. He'd left them once and been killed as penalty for the inexcuseable crime. Never again.

Fituna kept driving and after a few minutes slowed and stopped. She yanked out the keys and got out, shoving the door shut. "We're walking from here." She aimed at nothing as she started off down a short dirt road to the side.
Jeremy and Kuro panicked to get out quickly and catch up, Fituna had a nasty temper and they had no intention of getting in her way. She better let this rage out on Fredrickt, healthiest way for her to vent. Jer thought grimly as he checked his gloves, pulling them back into place.

Yazoo stepped out of the car behind her, pulling his guns from their holsters and eyeing Fituna with almost suspicion. Hell hath no fury like the woman scorned. I should be prepared in case that fury turns against me...
In spite of the sound reasoning this internal warning embodied, he sensed deep down she had no intentions of harming him. Her anger was a shell around her pain, encasing it, to keep it from burning her. Again, he struggled to smother a swell of guilt. You're doing the right thing for her. Before you were being selfish. Someday she will understand. He followed her down the road, keeping a sharp eye out for anything that seemed out of place...

Fituna made her way around and down along a ditch as she moved to the other door. She glanced around before moving up and against the small house. She looked back and waited for the three silently, her face set with an almost cold determination. Kuro and Jeremy skirted detectors as they cut across the small side lawn and reached her.
She made contact with each of them, pulling them into a hug and kissing the top of their heads before letting them both go. These were the two she raised, they may be only a little younger but they were like her sons in a way.
Jeremy made a curt and slight bow before moving to the other side of the door, one hand holding his pistol, the other with a stick like object. Kuro held the walkie talkie and the smoke bombs, along with amunition. They nodded to eachother before slipping through the door and disappearing behind it.
Fituna pressed her back against the wall, holding the small walkie talkie. It was more remote looking and had a green a yellow and a red button on the side. She barely glanced over to make sure Yazoo was there.

Yazoo watched her goodbye to the boys... something about it hit a chord in him. He recognized what it meant and stood for. He'd never felt inclined to show his bond with anyone by obvious means, by ways external or physical, not before today.
He used to wonder why others were so inclined to add meaningless gestures to genuine bonds. So far as he was concerned, that only cheapened things, reduced them to a basal function no more significant than breathing.
For the first time, he wondered if that meant something was wrong with him.
He stood against the wall to her right and waited for others. He didn't dare speak to her now.

After what seemed to be hours there was a muffled boom from within. Fituna panicked in her place and looked to the door as the house shook slightly with the aftermath. Sh*t...
Her heart stopped as she then looked to her walkie. She bit her lip and brought it to her mouth, clicking it on. "Denias Swift, what in the bloody h*ll are you doing down there, over." Her worry only laced her serious tone as she hid it.
She paused. "Denias Swift. Do you read? Over." No answer she took a deep breath and just before she could ask again there was a reply.
"Sorry. We set off a trap on our way. No biggie, just a few scratches. Over." Jeremy's voice was crackling and there was some background. "Don't come down yet... these halls are longer then we thought. Over."
Fituna sighed with relief. "Thank g*d..." She clicked it over again. "Alright. Tell us as soon as you're through. Over." She visibly relaxed some as Jeremy replied and then kept on going. That was a close one....

Yazoo looked over at Fituna with thinly veiled curiosity. "Denias Swift?" he parroted. Where do people come up with these codenames? Sigh... I guess it's better than S9 Prime, anyway.
How much longer are we going to be stuck out here? If we don't get this over with soon... He tried to rein himself in. Patience, patience... remember patience...

Fituna looked over, blinked before rolling her eyes lightly. "Denias means 'Rebel soldier' or has Vikktor called us 'Stray fighters'." She explained simply before laughing lightly. "As for the swift part... well, he's the fastest out of all of us, 'Cept for Lekki. But the boys clumsy and less skilled when it comes to this stuff..." Her attention was pulled away.
"Denias Mianyu. We've cleared it enough for you to head down. Follow the yellow markers. Over." Jeremy sounded quieter and more breathless, as if he were talking barely over a whisper.
"Got it, Swift. Over." She looked back to Yazoo, back to the serious look. "Lets go." She opened the door slowly and silently before slipping inside, leaving it open for Yazoo.
