She smiled at him through her tears. "Thanks, Kamen..." She couldn't help giggling. "You remember one of the first things I ever said to you? About being my very own masochist?" She giggled again. "Anybody who'd hang out with me must be a glutton for pain..." She took his hand from her shoulder and held it. "But I appreciate that. I really do." She stood up and gave him a hug. "Thank you."
She glanced at his silver hair and smiled. Looks like you sent someone to keep me strong after all.

"It's true," he told her. "I mean it." He squeezed her a little tighter, nuzzling her neck.

he beamed slightly, feeling somewhat useful. ''i'm eventually going to get tired of saying 'you're welcome' aren't i?'' he laughed. ''and yes... i remember that.'' he looked down at there hands, this weird thing that people did... it was just a tad bit strange to him. he looked back up and smiled. when she hugged him he stiffened for a moment before slowly hugging her back. ''i'm glad i could be of some help....'' he said quietly.
she giggled slightly and held him close to her. ''i know.... but its a whole different story for me to believe it.'' she laughed slightly, covering up her serious tone. she made a small smile. ''i love you reno....'' she said in no more than a whisper.

Ami pulled back and grinned at him, her tears finally beginning to dry. "So am I, Kamen. So am I." She exhaled. "Now if you'll excuse me, I think I need to wipe my nose before I snot all over everything."
She moved off towards the bathroom closet to get some toilet paper. "Good lord, I'm a mess," she added lightly.
Well, I can't have my brothers back all the time... but I guess Kamen can be here when they're gone.

Reno pulled his head from her shoulder and moved his mouth to her ear. "I love you too, Nikky," he whispered in return, pulling her closer as he moved his lips to her mouth.

kamen nodded and gave one last grin. ''okay... just try not to wipe your nose off.'' he chuckled at his new found humor before relaxing in his seat.
nikky closed her eyes and smiled at his words. she chewed her lip slightly before pulling him into a deep kiss before he could.

Reno let go a deep breath he hadn't realized he was holding as he let her pull him into the kiss. So it turns out I'm some kind of chosen one working for the planet... so what? At least some things never change. He moved his hands to her neck, caressing her and tilting her head towards him as his eyes closed, the passion sweeping over him again... but this time, something was just a little different... he felt something a little more steady, a little more sure than the rushing tides of emotion and impulse... So this is what it means to really love someone. He deepened their kiss still more. I like it.
But outside the warm assurance of the love he was feeling, something dark and cold was at the edges of his consciousness... Something in the Lifestream, making it sick... What is it?

Amnesty grinned into the mirror as she splashed some cold water into her face, to get rid of the redness and swelling. Yup, Kamen's a surrogate brother, all right.
Rude sat by the exit hatch, waiting for Dimitri to return, unwilling to abandon his post. Not in this place. This entire town is testament to dirty lies and secrets.

kamen streched out and yawned slightly. he curled back up and hid in his coat like it were a sheild. he pulled up his knees and rested his chin on then, closing his eyes. i don't think.... even if i had the choice.... i would leave. he sighed....
she let him move her head, kissing him more passionately. she grinned inwardly but reminded herself. i can't get too attached.... what would happen if he left... or if he dies.... oh i don't want to think about it....

Ami dried herself off and collected her composure, finally feeling like her old indomitable self again. She washed her hands and went back out to see Kamen, grabbing some snacks along the way. "I got the worst case of the munchies." She passed him some food. "I know we just had breakfast, but I'm still on my time of the month, man. Here, eat."
She sat down next to him and beamed at him.

Reno didn't want to get into her mind, but he couldn't help feeling her fear... it was hidden well, but it was still there, like a lump of ice...
He held her close, trying to take away the chill. "It's OK, Nikky..." he whispered, taking a moment to breathe. "It's all right... I'm here, I'm always going to be here... don't be afraid..." He kissed her again, trying to relieve her fears...
He couldn't help thinking of Axel, and how much that had broken Nikky up. She lost me once... it'll never happen again.
But as he felt the growing darkness lingering in his mind, he couldn't help but be just a little unsure...

nikky closed her eyes tight and clung to him. how... omigod now he can read my thoughts?! oh just great... she kissed him again, her eyes staying closed.
kamen caught the food and stared at it a moment as if pondering the thought. he looked up and watched her sit. he grinned. ''alright... i'll give you that one.'' but i really think you're just trying to get me to gain the weight i know i need.... he kept to himself that comment as he munched lightly. he looked over and flashed a grin at her beam.

Reno felt her tensing and laughed slightly. "It's OK, Nikky, I can't read your mind... maybe you aren't scared about losing me... but I can tell you're afraid of something. Whatever it is... you can tell me." If he had realized just how close those words came to predicting her thoughts, he might have kept his mouth shut.
He held her against him. "This... gift... It's changing a lot of things, Nikky. But one thing it will never change... I'm always gonna be here for you. I'm gonna keep you safe." He kissed the top of her head. "It's a promise." No amount of darkness will make that untrue.

Lutz had fallowed the group this farther but had not yet left the ship like the rest, he hadn't had anything to eat in awhile, well nothing like a meal, Lutz walked through the ships kitchen and found himself some good steaks. Nothing like good old chuck of meat!He licked his lips and placed it on his hand and bursted his hand into flamed cooking the meat right there on his hand. once it was done cooking he began to feast. aahhh I am in Heaven....Lutz was enjoying his steak, till the ship shook hard and the kitchens dishes raddled. Lutz leaped out of his chair ready for combet. the shaking grew stronger and the dishes fell from the tables and broke. Lutz felt an unease within the planet and just then the shaking stopped. He looked around. What the hell was that? and...and some how it felt like I could hear the planet saying something to me....but it only sounded like a ringing sound...how us that possible?Lutz glanced back at his plate of meat and it had fallen on the floor. he looked around the room noticeing no one else was in site. Lutz: "uuuhhhh 3 second rule!" He dove for the chuck of meat on the floor and continued his feast. |

Ami felt the shaking and held onto her chair. What the... what's happening? What next? An earthquake? A Deadly Sin? What is this?
The shaking ceased, and she realized she had dropped her snack. She sighed and began to clean it up. "Guess you'll have to hold that thought, Kamen," Ami joked. She looked around. Is that IT? Was I hallucinating or something? "Did you... feel that?"

Reno did. He knew full well what it was. "Oh, my G**..." He held Nikky tighter. "Stay right here."
He let her go and pushed himself off the bed. He looked out into the passenger area. "Is everybody OK?"
Ami looked at him oddly. He looked like he'd just escaped a stampede of Moogles. "Um, yeah..."
He opened the hatch and went outside before anyone could stop him. He could feel what was happening...
The whole world is falling apart... Something is unraveling it altogether. But it isn't Xima, or her abomination... it's not the Sins... what IS it?
He couldn't see any difference in the planet's surface... it looked just the same as ever... but things felt disjointed, disconnected, like things weren't quite as well laced together as they had been... This is bad.
He stormed back inside and found Lutz. "Lutz! Did you feel that?" Somehow, he sensed Lutz might understand...

Lutz had finished his steak and looked at Reno.
That damn earthquake...good to know I wasn't the only one...
Lutz: "I did feel this shaking...something is not right with the planet Reno....something bigger the the Sins, even Jenova...I have a Theory that might sound stupid but after putting a few pieces together its what I came up with."
Lutz explained that the Sin of Envy told the group on the beach about the being living in the lifestream and what Mammon had told him while he was locked up in a Cell.
Lutz: "So I have come to believe this being was created by an infaction that happening when the lifestream destoryed the Jenova Comet giving birth to this powerful being, now I don't understand the beings motives or why that earthquake just took place...."

Eyes watched the Ragnorak through binoculars as figures moved through the shadows closer to it. Making sure there was no chance of any of the occupants spotting them... This would take careful timing to work...

Reno felt his blood running cold. Lutz is right... I can just feel it. "Whatever this thing is doing, it's wrecking the planet..." He looked at his hands and turned pale. "And me with it."
His hands had aged in the time he'd been standing there talking... not too much, but enough to notice. He'd started out the conversation looking about twenty-five... now he looked closer to thirty.
He goggled. "Holy C***t..."
Ami came in. "What's going..." She repeated after him. "Holy C***t."
Rude followed them to see what the big deal was. He stopped short and looked at Reno silently. "I told you to mature a little." He scoffed. "Fine time to start listening to me."
"Rude, this is not funny."

Lutz felt sadden by Renos aged.
Renos life is now linked with the planet, the faster the planet dies the faster Reno dies...
Lutz placed his hand on Renos shoulder.
Lutz: "Whatever it is Reno we are going to stop it....don't worry..."
He tryed his best to cheer him up.
This is getting to serious the whole planet is in danger here, its going to hard to cheer anyone up now...
