Mammon grinned.
Mammon: "Sorry Lutz we been working to slow and creations from out of this world plot to destory it....in the darkness new allies may form....allies with the same goals as us..."
Lutz: "From out of this world....out of this world....like Jenova!? but Jenova is long gone now I saw it with my own eyes."
Mammon: "so naive...."
Lutz: "Mammon! you were created from the life stream to punish the wicked not join the wicked...."
Mammon: "Their you go again, you don't understand a thing! Jenova is not just some alien matter from outer space that can simpley just be killed off, its more of a virus....think back way back to that final day of judgment when the spirit known as Aries did something foolish.....convicing the life stream to attack the Jenova comet haha, sure the life stream managed to destory the Jenova comet but at what cost....never trust a women when she tells you shes a virgin Lutz, you just might catch something....."
Lutz thought about what Mammon was saying.
Lutz: "Your saying when the life stream came into contect with the Jenova Comet the life stream caught something? a virus?...."
Mammon: "That is all for now, I have a present for you seeing how you helped recreating us with your Chaos cells...."
Mammon vanished into a dark mist and out jumped where hell hounds. They busted out of Lutz's cell howling and running through out the jail causing horrible things, horrible sounds...
Oh great how do I get the feeling this will be blamed on me! no time to waste.
Lutz melted the chains and dashed out of his cell yelling for Ami

Ami whipped around, but the dark was too profound and deep to see a blasted thing... and now screams were echoing out of everywhere...
"Lutz! Where are you? Ignite or something... I can't see!"
She made as if to perform the Triple Threat summon, and a silver glow rose from her arm... she didn't complete the spell, but it gave her a little light to see by. "Lutz! Follow our light!" She stayed put and waited for him to see her...

Lutz dashed over to Ami
Lutz: "Ami we got trouble."
The howl of the hell hound broke Lutz's speech and it was clear that there were creature running loose through out the town.
Lutz: "Oh yeah Hell hounds....they is more I saw Mammon and well...I will explain everything after we deal with these beasts."

"Deal with them... How?" Ami shouted back. "I'm one sword short, and I can't even see!"
A beam of light sizzled out of the dark and slammed into one of the creatures full force... Rude had the Sacrifice on his back again and was firing it on Electric Ram setting.
He was STILL wearing his shades... except they had a light blinking on the center bridge of the frames... Nightvision sunglasses, Ami thought. Well, don't that beat all.
"Left, Ami."
She slashed towards her left and heard a hellhound yowl in pain.
"Thanks, Rude--"
"Right, Ami."
She slashed to her right... another yowl. "How many are there?"
"Too many." He blasted another one.
Ami looked to Lutz. "Ideas?"

Lutz thought for a second.
Hell Hounds are very very minor demons, could barely even call them demons...
Lutz smiled.
Lutz: "Maybe a little hell fire! you guys just run out of the hall way my blast will clear them all out!"
Lutz rose his hands and smacked them together and a massive bursts of flames rushed out of his body burning the hounds to ashes. for a moment the whole place light up from Lutz's hell fire.

Ami looked around frantically. "Mom?! Dad?! Lana?!"
If they replied, she couldn't hear them in the din of other panicking people. She stumbled over to Rude. "I've got to make sure they're OK!"
"There are others who need your help more." He stared at her as the cries and moans of the injured came from everywhere.
Ami blinked. "Not until I--" She remembered the vow she had made to herself moments ago, to share her strength. This is my chance to prove myself... if my family is all right, they will let us stay if I help them. Besides... bigger things than me and my family are going on here.
"Fine, Rude... but only if you find my family for me." She turned to Lutz. "Give me a hand here."
Reluctantly, she went found her way to Gunmetal and got her first aid supplies out of her bag, stopping by the injured and helpless whenever she ran into them. She turned to Lutz between "patients". "You kept your promise and waited for Squall in my place... I never got a chance to thank you properly."
She hugged him. "I'll help you find a way to beat this thing... I swear it." She resumed her work. "But have you got any idea where all this dark came from... and why it isn't going away?"

Rude rounded up Ami's family members. "Where's Ami?" Stephen asked, somewhat panic-stricken.
"She's fine... she's trying to tend to the injured. She wanted to be sure you were all right first, but she was needed immediately."
Stephen calmed slightly. "Take us to her."

Lutz welcomed the thanks from Ami, He began to explain everything Mammon had told him in the cell. Jenova taking the form as some kind of Virus in the life stream.
Lutz: "Ami things have changed with the 7 Deadly Sins they are killing outside the rules they were bound to, When we fought Leviathan and Rudes weapon made him human again he said something to all of us I can't stop thinking about, He said their was a being within the life stream that was evil....so is it possible that when the life stream destoryed the Jenova comet, the life stream was infected by jenova some how creating a being with the power of both good and evil...Lifestream and Jenova....maybe this being planned everything, the 7 Deadly Sins, using my Chaos cells to recreate the Sins, using Raja as a puppet....but still why...."
Lutz scratched his head.
things seem to be getting more and more dangerous
Lutz: "I don't know what this all means for us and the world but I have a bad feeling...."

Ami looked to him cautiously. "A conscious being... INSIDE the Lifestream? Not the Promised Land, but the Lifestream itself?"
Ami thought that over. "What I'd give to get Reno's take on this..." She realized Lutz didn't know why. She grinned before she elaborated. "You won't believe this, but... it turns out, Reno's got some kind of special powers. As in, he's connected with the planet. What exactly that means, no one is sure yet... but a few seconds ago, he pulled a Superman on us. The only catch is, he can't consciously control it."
He was trying to help Nikky when we last saw him... I hope he and Nikky are OK...
She got a sudden flash of the two fighting a being that looked all too familiar to Ami...
"Killing a Heartless by stabbing it in the heart? Not an indication of brilliance... We'll meet again."
She nearly dropped her things as a name stood out in her mind... Xima... "Does the name Xima mean anything to you, Lutz?"

Lutz: "Reno!?...hhmmm thats strange...unless...he should check his family, he could very well have the blood on an ancient in him, In the time of the Maloki and Ancients, the Ancients looked like humans and Maloki's well look like me, and the Ancients could speak to the planet as if they had some kind of special connectiong with it, funny it was believed Aries that traveled with Cloud Strife and died bythe hands of Sephiroth himelf was the last of the Ancients it was why Shinra was after here for so long, be Reno an Ancient...."
hhmmm Ancients would speak to the planet and wield the power of healing and light....as the Maloki's were gifted with the power of elemental control to protect the planet.....
Lutz shook his head and continued listening into Ami's theories. she spoke of someone named Xima but didn't ring a bell.
Lutz: "No I don't have a clue who that is....why who is it?"

"I'm really not sure..." Ami gulped. "That's what scares me most. I think... she's another Remnant. I just got a psychic flash from her, something that only happens to me when other Remnants are around now."
She shivered. "I saw her fighting Reno and Nikky in the Forgotten City... If I can pick up her vibes from that far away, then we all have reason to get very, very nervous. She'd have to be an absolute powerhouse, a living dynamo of psychic energy.
"As for Reno being an Ancient... not a snowball's chance in Hades. Shinra would have found out during the screening process before he was trained. My guess is, the power was in him all along and his training suppressed it. When he cut his ties to Shinra and got attached to Nikky, those combined actions must have unlocked his abilities.
"Remember when I fainted before we fought Jenova? A spirit... the spirit of the Martyress... told me while my soul was trapped between realms that there were others to whom a gift was given. Why Reno was one of them, and how it all works, I haven't got a clue. Even he doesn't know... to tell the truth, I get the feeling he's scared of the responsibility. The first time his potential manifested itself, he responded by getting himself drunk. He's rebelling against this, but I have a feeling he'd better warm up to it really soon... or else we're sunk."

Lutz: "Interesting interesting, well something has to be done once this Xima shows up and if is causes us trouble we will have to do what we did to the last Jenova monster! kick its sorry little @ss and the Sins for that matter!
Lutz looked around.
Lutz: "And what about me? once the town guards get here they will blame me for everything and maybe try to kill me...."

Ami gave him a sidelong glance. "If they do, they'll have to get through me first." All this stress about her family, about these bizarre doubles... about her "Mother"... it was driving her up the wall. "Lord knows I'd love the chance to blow a little steam..."
Rude arrived with Ami's family in tow. Relief washed over her. "Mom, Dad! Lana!" She embraced them, a small amount of pressure removed from her. "Thank G** you're all OK..."
Stephen hugged her back. "Ami, I don't know when we ever indicated that we didn't love you for who you are... but if we did, I promise it'll never happen again."
She smiled into the dark and pulled away, turning towards her friend. "This is Lutz, one of my best friends. You might have caught him at a bad moment," she joked, "but the rest of the time there's no truer soul on the planet."
Lana bounced right up to him. "I'm Lonnie!"

kamen felt her saddness from where he was standing. he dropped his head and sighed. he looked back up at the rest of them before slowly walking over to them and standing slightly behind ami silently.

Ami turned to him. "And this is the artist formerly known as the Puppetmaster... now known as Kamen."
Stephen came forward and shook hands with him. "A pleasure."
Lana looked back at her sister. "How come it went all dark here all of a sudden? Total eclipse of the sun or something?"
Ami shook her head. "Worse, Lana. Just stick by us for now... I think this is a bad sign."
Lana gulped. Ami winced... she knew Lana was terrified of the dark.

Reno was aware of a darkness rushing up to meet him as he came in for a landing... Weird. It isn't dark like this anywhere else... this is very, very bad.
He and Nikky phase-shifted back into solid beings, landing roughly on the square's pavement. "Oof..." Reno found himself flat on his face with Nikky on top of him. "Nikky, can you let me up, please?" Reno requested, his voice muffled.
Rude was smiling-- on the inside, of course. "So you survived without me for an hour... I'm impressed. Good work, partner."
Reno looked up at him and smiled weakly. "Uh, Nikky... any time, now."
