The ship settled down just outside the small hot springs town... Ami looked out the viewport. Hmm, not a bad-looking place... but looks can be decieving. She stood in the passenger area, waiting... I have to talk to Squall before we rush into this, if I can. Something tells me that after we get off this ship, our time for talking will be sparse indeed...
Reno felt their approach and landing... This place was pumping with Lifestream power... he wondered if that would make his aging process slow down or speed up. Either way, for the moment, it felt like he'd downed a billion espressos or something. He began getting restless... He went back to the cabin where he'd left Nikky. "Hey, guys?"
Rude was working on the Sacrifice again... he thought maybe he might be able to patch it with a little more time, some new supplies from the village... he spotted Lutz, carrying the Scythe, looking like he'd just walked across Hell. "Lutz? What's up?"

as kamen lay motionless he slowly let some of his energy go to reno. it was less because he was trying to be less drastic. reno could feel himself slowly changing back to normal. kamen still didn't stirr. he did find the lifestream and debated whether to tap into it....
nikky looked over and grinned. ''hey....''

He sat on the edge of the bed, feeling himself returning to his normal age. Good thing Kamen's taking it slow... don't want Nikky to see me go changing on her. "Hey... how's the patient?" He smiled at Nikky placidly, the currents of the Lifestream providing a slightly intoxicating effect on him.

nikky sighed. ''he hasn't moved at all.... but his temperature has gone up.'' she smiled at him before it faded. ''but other than that no signs of life from him....''
kamen didn't stir at all when reno sat down or when they spoke.

Lutz looked over at Rude. saddness took Lutz's face.
Lutz: "Raja....oh you never met Raja...the owner of this Sythe....well I just killed him...."
He walking a bit farther past Rude and into his room where he been staying the door way was still close enough for Rude to hear him.
Lutz: "Raja knew the being within the life stream....and before Raja asked me to kill him he told me what Aztar's Motives were...the reason this is all happening...."
as he spoke to Rude he was making a holder for the Sythe so Lutz could carry it on his back. he lowered his head as he finished and strapped on the Sythe to his back.
Lutz: "And as Raja put it we are already doomed....."

Rude scoffed. "Like h**l we are. That's what they all say." He looked over the Sacrifice. "I'll need some replacement parts, but after that, this thing should be in working order again." He strapped it on, preparing to look for the nreast hardware store. "Walk with me, Lutz... I need more specifics." This guy is going down. He headed for the exit hatch.

Reno considered Nikky's remark. "Well, at least he isn't frozen out." He must still be semi-conscious in there... else I wouldn't be too young for a midlife crisis right now. He got into Kamen's mind, trying to guide him back to consciousness... Kamen, kid? How you doing in there? Ready to wake up? He didn't realize it, but for the first time, he'd forgotten he was supposed to hate the kid...
He took Nikky's hand. "He'll be OK... you done good." He leaned forward and kissed her briefly, his mind still on waking Kamen. "How are you feeling, huh?"

nikky smiled and kissed him back. ''i'm fine....''
kamen didn't stir but replied in his regular quiet tone. i am fine reno... thank you for asking. i have not woken up yet because it drains my energy faster... but i will shortly, most of my regular enrgy has returned.... he stirred slightly.

Lutz walked with Rude and explained how the beings mind works. Lutz told Rude everything Raja had told him, the being within the lifestream hated the fact of how the people living on the planet acted in sin and thought the only way to save it was to destory it.
Lutz: "You see Rude it was our peoples lust for power and war that brought it to terms with our destruction....its those that are feeding the being to do evil, or our point of view of evil to this thing its doing good, for there really is no true good and true evil Rude....only point of views..."
Lutz Continued to walk with Rude to the shop.

They entered the shop and Reno began systematically picking up items. "I dunno if I buy into THAT... but as far as I go, if somebody's trying to pulverize a planet I happen to be standing on, that dude's a** is mine."
He brought his items to checkout. "Any idea where this Aztar is right now?" He paid for his purchases while he waited for an answer.

Reno nodded to himself. OK, fine... just make it quick, OK? We're gonna be going in against this Aztar dude pretty quick... the sooner he goes, the sooner you don't have to keep feeding my energy.
He gave Nikky a hug. "Let's go see if the others have got back yet, OK?"

Ami stood by, waiting... Squall still hadn't come out of the cabin... she thought of going in to get him, but she didn't want to hasten this any more than she needed to... Oy, vey.

kamen sent him a sigh. okay.... i will wrap this up shortly. but i am not sure how stable i will be. he stirred slightly.
nikky glanced at kamen before nodding and hugging reno. ''alright. lets go...'' she stood.

as they walked back to the ship an old man bumped into Rude.
the old man turned around.
Old Man: "Oh I am so so sorry sir, I need to watch where I am going more carefully!"

"That's... fine..." Rude didn't see any reason to distrust this old man, but something about him seemed suspicious... a thought of how pickpockets bump into people to distract them from disturbances in their pockets flashed into his mind... He kept moving forward. "Have a nice day." He looked at Lutz. "So, Lutz, you were saying?"

He gave her one deep kiss on the lips before heading out to the passenger area. The place looked pretty deserted for now, except for Dimitri slumped over against a wall, and Ami hanging around in the corridor by one of the cabin entrances. He looked around and yanked one of Fruxas' bolts out of the wall, inspecting it. "Kids these days..." He tossed it away with a sigh.

Lutz looed at the man something about him wasn't right he could feel it. The old man continued walking away about his busniess and so did Lutz.
Lutz: "Well Aztar should be in the.....lifestream....."
Lutz looked back at the man as he walked away. the robe he was wearing and the symbol on it, that was the symbol of Aztar! the Symbol of the Holy One.
Lutz: "Rude! that old man! he has a symbol on his robes!!!! He must know where Aztar is!!!"
